Update!!!
Since i had this new sound system i have had a hell of a lot of rattling coming from the nova and until recently it's been like that lol...
So with me being a student and that i decided not to buy the expensive sound deadening such as dynamat but to buy flashband that builders use for houses which is much more cheaper and works just aswell if you add layers.
I set about deadening the boot with 2 layers so far for the floor as you can see here which stopped a little rattling...

After the boot i had ordered some GSi rear door cards so thought well the grey ones are off why not do the inner quarter pannel and the out bit of it where the card goes. (not got a before pic of this & only got 1 side pic.)

I then fitted my GSi rear door cards which where a ball ache! mainly because the deadening made it hard to get the clips to go in even though i made holes for them...

Now with my boot floor and rear quarters deadend i have found 2 more sources of rattling which are front door cards/doors and the joint that clips into the back of the rear seats to hold them in place.
Once they are sorted i think anything else will be pretty quiet to hear or unless you are on the outside.
Also yesterday me and my mate decided to make a new front for my box and to port it this time. (not got a pic of this yet)
I am hoping to do the front cards tomorrow/today (30th).
BTW my sub is for sale PM me for details.
Weather aint bad for once so mite actually get some work done today!
Been after some components for the front for a while now but 1st i need a amp for them so i bought a 2 channel kicker amp...

Also bought some GSi doorcards with speaker holes so i don't have to butcher my perfect ones lol.
I get paid thurs so should be ordering my components then.
Looking at getting these... very good quality.

Also got some new pads and discs which will go on tomorrow.
Looking at some new front tyres also
Ready for the winter!
I can't reccomend these enough. If you're still using budgets on the back though I'd urge you to replace all 4 so you don't spin it like I did once or twice, before I was given the advice of having the best tyres on the back.Quote:

Definately worth it, but everything is worth a haggle.
Don't do it, they look **** on Cav's never mind Nova's. :roll:Quote:

Would them 185/60 R14 http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.p...igan=So&Achse=
fit?
Depends which wheels you have at the moment as Vauxhall did two sizes of the 3 spokes, some are 4.5J (off Pearls and stuff like that) and some are 5J (off GSi's).
If they are the 5J ones 185 tyres will fit as I ran them on my old GSi.
yeah mine are 5J and not the 4.5J.
Got new discs and pads on today feels much better than before.
Going to look into these tyres now.
Will they be a much lower profile or something then with the numbers being diff?
Don't know how the tyre sizes work.
185/55/14 is a good tyre size mate
Quite wide but a fairly small profile on the side
I had these fitted when my Corsa GSi alloys were on
Those tyres are 185mm tread width, 60% sidewall (60% of 185 so 111mm) on a 14 inch diameter rim. They're H rated so good for 130mph when carrying their maximum load.
Your current ones will have 101mm sidewalls, so the excellences will be a bit bigger. I'll find some pics of mine when I get home.
So in theory the ones i have on are just as good?
The make of the ones on are called GT and are 50 quid a tyre.
The price alone means nothing, and the reputations can be hard to fathom as you'll find contradictions all over tyre review sites.
In theory the ones you have are smaller ;).

Those are the only 2 pics I can find right now of when I still had mine. Basically compared to what you've got the tread area will be 30mm wider, and the sidewalls will be about 10mm bigger aswell, but they should still fit fine. Thats as far as the specifications go though.
Tyres are very subjective and you'll find that many people love and hate many types. I can tell you first hand that my 185/60R14 F1's and the excellences that I used to replace the F1s that wore out were all fantastic in the wet.
Really don't want the sides any bigger TBH so i'll stick to what i have thanks anyway.
Miss this car so much :(
get another?? lol
Just been looking through my old hard drive and found absolutely loads of pics and vids :(
Was meant to be getting another around 2 month ago but the guy apparently ''kept'' it. :(
Want a clean nova for the summer shows!
i liked this aswell as its the same colour as my old and currant one lol
