No mate it's all fully mapped, but last year when i got the car back the engine bay was really dirty so i stripped loads of parts out, but in doing this i must have disturbed something as now the car sounds like its running on 3 or the timing is some how out!.
Epic Fail
Fixed?
Does the bear ride a unicycle through the woods?
I am been honest here he is looking to trade it in for a new M3. He is just holding out for the right monies.
I thought it shat in the woods?Quote:

Possibly for sale at the right price! lost intrest.
is it running?
No Ben, drove it home from Berkshire and was told not to **** around with it!, so with that in mind i took it apart to clean it all up and now it wont start, must have disturbed something electrical!.
If i had the time again i would fit a non abs disk rear beam, as there isnt much meat betweek the bolt holes, and re do the cross member as i used stupidly thick metal back in the day!
flol your a pain in the ass!
If its a non-runner I'll start the bidding at £500 and you have to give me a blowey on collection.
£500, no blowey.
Whats the right price?Quote:

Wish he had sold it to me when i asked last year, fooker!
Get it up and running again Dan and you will feel ten times better about it. The show season is still a little way off and If you could make it to at least one Im sure you would thoroughly enjoy it. We all get down in the dumps about them occasionally (Me more than most currently!) but after some hard use Im sure those feeling will be just a distant memory. ;)
Nick.
True Nick but he has an M3 and a cossie now. I can understand why the nova is off little interest tbh.
He has sold the M3.Quote:

Still in 2 minds with it! put me off last year all the hassle i had with insuring it, but i did like driving it, was massive fun!.
M3 is now sold, picking up a focus rs next week.
Get rid of that **** ecu and go back to basics imho.
Listen to Rick. He has experience with breaking/selling cars.
Dans such a faggot he does not want to get his hands dirty!
Mornings job to change it all back over and have a spot on nova. IMHO Finished its up there with the best on the scene. Its just the SM2 is pre-historic and has never got on well with vauxhall engines!
Why de-spec it, I appreciate SM2 may not work well with the Vauhall engine as you say, but go for a tried and tested method, such as Omex/DTA etc.Quote:

At least then the map will be correct for the car, and not just close-ish.
^^ hear hear speaketh senseth
Because Dan's interest is I believe no longer in chasing round having it mapped or spending out a fair wedge on another ecu. He just wants to use it and therefore the easiest, cheapest and least time consuming way is to fit motronic.
Id say that the 3.5 option is as expensive as Omex/DTA or very close.Quote:

But he is right, im fed up of taking things here there and every-where to be sorted, and im done with spending big money on the car. But all i need to do is take the car back to Marks and it would be sorted. Not sure at the moment it's driving me mad also owning 3 cars.
thats exactly why you should fix it ;)Quote:

I think realistically you need to have some fun out of it Dan, I mean you've been building it since I first came on here near enough, and done what a few hundred miles in it!
Even if you use it for one summer only then break/sell it. Its a lot of time/money and effort to go to waste.
Your car, your choice though...
Thanks Paul, yes thats what i need to do, i just got really hacked off with the insurance side of things last time and that put me off a little. I know it would break for alot more than i want to sell it for, but due to having no house im abit in limbo at the moment!.
