Bilstein wins hands down for ride comfort, decent lowering and handling. Don't have the part number for this kit to hand, but back in the day Courtenay sold them as "sportpack" IIRC. Perhaps anyone can provide a bit more info on this?
Oh btw do NOT buy the black Bilstein shocks - these are rubbish as I found out with my GSi.
Seeing as it was a nice day i went a nice drive and did some pic whoring, scenery was not bad either

Looking good Craig.
Looking good! If you want to uprate the suspension I highly recommend Koni adjustable front shocks and eibach springs. I bought used front koni's with a full set of used -35mm eibach springs leaving the back shocks standard, and can honestly say it feels so much better overall with speedbumps not as harsh over the standard setup. You can buy brand new front koni's on ebay sometimes on offer for just over £100 each! Bargain! I have set the damping rate on the front at half. Feels perfect :)
looking good, i sold you the interior in this, is it still in mint condition? i notice you have seat covers, nice work.
Cheers graeme and ewan, still undecided about the suspension..might just leave that till next year,i'm spending all my money on fuel at the moment and trying to use it as much as possible
Looking good chief, loving the wheel trims :)
Me and my boss had a 'bring your eighties sh!tbox to work day' lol I took the nova,he brought his capri then his son turned up in his renault 5..which is a nineties car but still old.

Just had a read through this from the start. What a transformation from when you first bought it! Well done you've done a fantastic job with it.
Great inspiration for myself after just buying my first nova to restore over winter. Red GTE too :)

I near shit myself earlier when i saw it out the corner of my eye, didn't know what it was moving around at first lol
nearly stood on the poor little bugger.
Stick him on a frying pan and add a bit of seasoning... Tomorrow's lunch SORTED :)
Haven't updated this thread in a while,my nova was in storage while my new garage was being built.the first picture was my old timber garage which was falling down so a new one was built and the whole garden levelled at the same time, digging out 220 tons of soil in the process.nice sunny pic is from yesterday and the only thing to report is that I fitted new shocks and some lowering springs.as you can see there is more than enough room for the nova now :d

New garage looks great, I bet it's nice to have plenty of room either side of the car. :thumb:
Great space jealous of the loft space for stashing stuff out the way.
Looks great. I could do with a bit of that right now. Drowning in car parts already lol

well today i decided to put it back on the alloys for the first time in three years, been running the gte trims since then..renewed the insurance in April and it hasn't turned a wheel since.gave it a wash and did a few little jobs on it,if i can get an mot on it this week then I'll probably use it.if not it will be put away again..the joys of having two young children under three! No time to myself anymore but thought the old heap came up not too bad after a quick wash.
Photobucket is shite now :wtf:
