Calipers still to be painted
Koni Adjustable shocks all round (Came up cheap and seem to be decent enough) Got some -40mm springs there as well but might go -60mm but I don't want the car dragging it's a*se along the ground like the Mk2 lol
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...ova/Parts2.jpg
Might have another update at the weekend but we'll see how it goes
Cheers, Vaughan
Mate those Koni's are going to be very stiff and a very harsh ride
I know the car they came off was very stiff but it's not for a daily driver so it should be allright lol
They came up at the right time for the right kinda money so snapped them up
coming on well lad :)
Cheers - Hopefully be down at it this weekend getting some work done to it
Started working now so now have the money to do the project just little time lol But I'll get there
A guy at my work said he'd paint it for me as well that way it'll be done by a pro and should look the business :)
Another wee update that I forgot about - Got these off Joe Richardson from the PNG
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...Indicators.jpg
2 good nick used clear indicators and what appears to be brand new clear side repeaters with bulbs
Seeing your reply on Iain's thread.
If your keeping the car long term and doing lots of work. Use the 3m rubberised sealant on the under sides. Then paint it. Its much better and worth the money.
I'll have a look for it when I go to buy the stuff to do it mate :) Cheers
Plus, if you say it's good it must be!
Have some rep if I can
Update time!!!
My mate picked up this Magnex Mk1 backbox for me in Warrington during the week and he got it to me on Friday - Looks superb:

PS - Won a genuine Fearless rear strut brace on eBay earlier today as well so theres another cool part for this Nova :thumb: Hopefully turn up this week coming along with another one of my cool purchases lol Well it's cool to me
Cheers Vaughan
whats the crack with the rear arch being yellow lol Apart from that looks good :thumb:
im nova the moon for you that you managed to get a fearless brace you lucky man.
Mind if i ask how much you got it ?
Loving the yellow running gear aswell.
good progress
The yellow back arch is some primer we done my mates 1600 GTE track Nova with before paint and we tried it on one of my back arches to see how they looked (after being replaced) They look and feel not too bad, a wee bit high in places but I'll sort them out :)
Fearless brace was a steal IMO, PM me if your interested :) The guy knew what he had but didn't put the title properly hence me being the one and only bidder :thumb:
Glad you like the wee yellow bits and pieces
Cheers for the comments
Spent a couple of nights cleaning up my Sport 40's and Irmscher inlet manifold
That's how they started in the pics above - Not too dirty but quite 'old' and stained looking
So out with some thinners and a paintbrush and some elbow grease I got them looking like so; Irmscher Inlet:

Both 40's:

Not going to be painting them as they were never painted originally I don't think so just wanting them to look as original as possible
Can't wait to get them rebuilt and fitted!
Comments welcome,
Cheers Vaughan
Good work on the clean up, they're looking well. Bet you can't wait to have these rebuilt and sorted.
I really can't mate, I'm sure they'l sound better about 7k revs as well :thumb:
After a few year searching I managed to get an original Fearless Motorsport rear strutbrace - Not much to say about it really...Comments welcome
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../Image0031.jpg
Still needs a clean and polish but fitted it to the Mk2 Nova but it's for this project:

Cheers, Vaughan
As nice as they look that brace is going to do fook all IMO, rear brace is only worth having if it bolts/welded in to the turret.
Sell it on at a profit and put the money towards something useful IMO mate
Nah mate always wanted a Fearless one ever since I seen Brett Warburton/Dec's/Martin Kelson's Novas :)
Fair enough mate, does look nice
Was gonna say what Edd said but it does look smart.
Tidy kid. Get the finger out and get her oot
Next year hopefully Archie :)
Ideal for a Volkswagen then, is that what your saying? lolQuote:

That's why I wanted one - Any other rear brace just wouldn't doQuote:

Only had about an hour or so to work on the car today so concentrated on the bit that needed the most work - The back arches!
Rubbed them down with the DA until I got them as even as I could and then chapped down the various high bits and put a skim of cataloy on each arch
Looks quite bodgey if I say so myself but it's not holding the car together it's just to even it out and make it look nice and most of it will end up on the floor anyway lol
Here's some quick pictures:

Another update, 2 weeks I've waited for it lol - Irmscher Cam Cover - Should go well with my Irmscher inlet manifold and Irmscher airbox when I source one:

Comments welcome
Cheers, Vaughan
nice cam cover man, good work on the archs
Might be in a couple of nights this week to work on it - I HOPE that's the last skim of filler then I can get onto the stopper and finish them up
Need to dress the arch lips so my wheels can fit then get them into primer :)
any better pics of the stealths man?
I could get you some mate, stored away in the garage atm lol
aye that would be ideal
OK mate I'll PM you them in 5 mins
