Congrats Keith, a standard has been set that is impossible for most to follow; enjoy:thumb:
New C.V. joint came today and the problem came back, the wheel was vibrating under load and it was pulling to one side. This totally baffled me, but a quick call to Jonboy suggested the brakes.
Had a look round, and the offending side's brake was nearly on fire it was so hot!! Turns out i'd adjusted the brakes so much at the pedal that they were always on a little and that side had binded and almost locked up.
Adjusted it back and its superb now. Cheers Jonboy!!
I've done 150 miles now without any other problems, there's a tiny tiny sump leak but i'd probably be worried if it didnt.

And as for the leak i see your thinking, if nothing was making a noise or dripping then you would be nervously waiting for something to happen whereas aslong as you know about at least one niggly little thing then all seems right in the world, the joys of owning a nova arent they haha!
As said previously bud i am in awe of your commitment and courage in completing this car in the face of all of the set-backs and problems youve had along the way, well done and i hope she puts a massive smile on your face everytime you turn the key:thumb:
Thanks mate, Your right, I was so so glad it was a simple problem, I kept thinking it was the gearbox or something wrong with how I fitted the engine. We always think the worst in these situations!!Quote:

Aye id love to actually meet you mate think i only just missed you at PV, think you were talking to someone on the JOV stand in the morning whilst i was polishing me cav but only realised it was you when youd gone lol
235 Miles on it now. Took a run down to help a friend with some wireing on his XE GSI Nova, and then onto Steven Gaults to finally show him the car.
Car's driving very well now, things are beding in and it's feeling very nice to drive. I'm still supprised at how it drives at 35-40mph in 6th gear :)
Keith
