Gave the box internals another quick rinse down and dried them with the air gun:

Refitted the magnet in the bottom of the casing (where I found my chipped cog bit):

Easier to fit the casing to the internals rather than vice versa, so plonked the box on:

Now on to the diff, I was a bit worried about this but once I got stuck in it was fine!

Diff mount, new bearing race and shaft seal:

Here's what was stamped on the bearing race, if anyone's after new diff bearings for an F20 (not sure if Timken bearings are any good but time will tell):

Used the old race to fit the new ones and the seals, bish bosh bash:

32mm socket sat nicely on the middle part of the bearing, and tapped it on to the diff:

Part number for a new F20 speedo drive, cost approx £11 trade:

Soaked it in hot water and it snapped on nice and easy, all done. Just need to torque the crownwheel bolts up with some loctite and it's good to go in:
