I see you're using CDS for the rear wishbones
what tubing are you using for the spaceframe?
is it 38mm 12swg CDS or T45?
i think ive just answered my question by looking at your user name! lol
I wish it was T45, my user name comes from originally planning on running twin 45 carbs lol
I will have to get back to you on the material as tony bought it all in.
i expect if its not t45 then it will be cds,
shame its not t45 as thats 1.5 kg/m (fia spec) compared to 3kg/m for 12swg CDS!
but then its also double the price!
Ste where are you getting your ideas from for the build, have you been involved in a similar project or is this all new. I've never seen a build like this so it's a damn good read and very inventive.
I did find a local chap who builds land rover cages who could of suplied a T45 equivilant but cheaper. Cant remember the grade though.
Its my first major project, i leave the space framing to Tony but do have some input and he's very open to this.Quote:

So will there be alot of jiggery pockery to get the car all set/aligned up correctly once road worthy?
yeah somthing like that.
Alot of trial and error but its all a learning curve, everthing on the car is adjustable so its going to be a case of experimenting with differant setups.
Hopefully going to get some open pit track days in.
Sounds good to me, probably take a far bit to setup but once you've done it it will be quality. I'd love to see this running so pm me nearer the time it's out and about :)
I will do. Hopefully will get to some NW meets. Where in west yorkshire are you?
i would also love to see this car :) cracking read mate
All in good time........................lol
awesome :) keep up the good work :thumb:
we need more pictures though!
Car has been stripped down again and is currently on its side having the welds finished underneath.
Few more braces to be put in. Photos to follow.

about time for updates
I recon he is rebuilding 800 series trents!
I reckon he has just found the garage with all your old projects in Rick and is now trying to get them all finished.
Don't panic though, once running they are all getting broken for spares.
Shut it escort boy, one billion years in the making and not one decent pic of it. Fictitious car if ever i heard of on that was.Quote:
