Nice progress mate:)
Thanks mate :)
Ta :) got the chassis legs from ocp and got the inner wings from a lad on here.
I never thought of that lol but I've got a plan for that ;)
Cheers bud :thumb:
Excellent work that, looking forward to seeing how this comes out!
So, when do you want to build my nova then ;)
Are you stitching the front end on while you're doing this? I would, save having to do it again later....
Love what you've done so far.
Cheers :)
Haha once this is finished can't see me doing a build to this extent again lol
Thanks :thumb: yeah it will be all seam welded this week coming and a the strengthening plates etc fitted. We were thinking of doing the seam welding from underneath so you can't see them in the bay. Will this be just as effective?
As in in the arch?
I did both sides (in the arch and in the bay..)
Just tidy the welds up after welding.
Here's where i mean.

exactly what I'm thinking mate, trying to keep it looking good and original but with the extra strength :) cheers
Some seriously good work and progress on this so far, great to see it being saved. :thumb:
Thanks Kev :)
got it the car back on the spit yesterday and started all the seam welding, still some to be done yet but the front end is attached again.

Great work Bazz! My GSi needs the same done, looks very good! Keep it up!
good work some quick progress happening
You going to get round the turrets welded under here aswell rather than up top Baz?
http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/u...psa5f1c70a.jpg
Yeah going to get it done underneath to keep it all neat and tidy :)
Superb work. This is the way to build a project.
Thanks mate means a lot!
great work baz keep it up
Are you re fitting the strut tops the orignal ones if so you gona spot them underneath to look factory ?
Ye i took some off sri i bined and that was my plan far nicerpp
I had a brand new set of the plates as well but sold them so going to drill out the original ones.
Just a note on the plating kit, you dont really need to fit the plate on the o/s leg as its a double skinned chassis leg anyway, just a thought
I'll keep that in mind bud ta :)
Good work Bazza, what's the plans interior wise once you've got around to it?
Cheers, it will just be stripped. I'll have my carbon buckets, dash cage and harnesses. I've got some carbon trim to tidy the inner quarters up that's it really. Oh and my tank and lines will be inside as well.
Carbon tank? Or carbon skinned tank?
When i talked about welding the seam, this is where i ment. But i did both sides (in bay and inner arch) Have always told people to do both sides if asked too)

Front end looks great.
The tank is just plastic Benn, i was thinking about just doing the welding in the bay now the seam sealer will hide it anyway, and thanks it's getting there.
If your running 500 bhp welded every seam and fit every plate. The cars hardly going to look stock anyways its 80% carbon fibre lol
Not an update but looks like I'm getting a wider set of wings made so I might part with the carbon ones I already have.
i should have a good update in the next 2 weeks or so!
You going wide track then so doing the rear quarters then?
ive just been through 52 pages and can only see a carbon bonnet, you removed all the pictures of carbon parts?
Think I'll be putting wider wheels on it not 100% sure yet,and I'm just keeping the rear arches the original width in only wanting wider fronts so I can get wider wheels on.
have a look on page 3 mate there is pics of my bumpers, skirts, wings, doors, and grille my mirrors and dash are somewhere in the thread aswell. I'll have some pics of the boot and quarters and roof soon hopefully :)
