Matt, you're more than welcome to the front struts once I get some replacements. Could be a while though, as I'm looking for some Spax/Bilstein jobbies to replace them with.. and they're expensive! :(
Do you know what they are and what mm drop?Quote:

Speaking of engines, I believe this makes Alex's car a 3,041cc 24v Polo:

:D
The rear suspension wasn't too happy about hauling that all the way up from Devon lol
If you can get me a make and model I'll work out if we're better to shift that unit or one of mine down for it. MIG will be easier than TIG for the bay, I can show you either if your bored.
I'll have a look, its a pretty big unit though iirc. I'll see if Alex can find out what kit her dad has as well.
Cheltenham next weekend; one after that I'll probably be having a good nose round the engine and seeing what bits I need to get hold of; and after that I'm being posted off on a secret MOD mission to some god forsaken hellhole for a week or so. Could be a while til I actually get anything done then, in true mincing style :thumb:
No worries Sir, All the warmer for being sat in a bay with the bucket on.
As Alex's dad is a farmer I'd expect it to be MMA gear. more suitable for farm reparing.
hhmmm, already typed this once...
lmao @ 3,041cc 24v 4wd learner Polo.
Surely picking up an engine is at least 10% of your project?
better leave it at least 4 months before you even thing about fitting it to be a true mincer.
A
when you buy somethign it must "ferment" for a few months before touching it again, picking it up and looking at it confused about once every week/fortnight
I was not happy with the how low down it made the car. But the guy, who had a whole yard full of VW's said it would be fine. Gave Jack a bit of the silent treatment for a bit though lol
