The sound of running water under the floorboards!
Lifting the flooboards to be met with a comedy water leak that sprayed across the room, up the wall and accross the ceiling!
Spending 10 minutes with my thumb over a hole in the pipe to stop the comedy leak whilst the central heating system drained.
Now sorted but ruined what started out as a good day :(
That sounds like a proper ****ter mate :(
Nothing comedy about water leaks in your home whatsoever.
Gutted mate, hope it didnt cause too much damage?
Luckily its an older house so it is a suspended floor with floorboards with a concrete under floor so no damage done. Just wet vacced the water up once I was done.
let me know if you need some copper pipe and some straights to fix it mate got load in the van you can have
i will fix the pipe in my self if you want, dont want any money just to help out :d
Thanks for the offer but it was all sorted pretty quickly. The free emergency 24hr plumber(AKA Dad lol ) was round within 5 minutes and we sorted it between us. Just glad it was downstairs under the floor rather than upstairs above the ceiling!
Worse one was when a piece of my old kitchen worktop flipped over and fell on the stop cock damaging it. That was fun lol
super dad lol
glad to hear its all fixed fella, its not nice when something goes wrong and you dont know what to do!
Fitting a screwfix hdmi wall socket and looks like the ****ers designed it for 6mm thick walls, ****in knobs must think we build walls with 6mm hardboard
