Was last RR'd at 275bhp. A dry sump system and new exhaust have been added since.
sweet mate im awaiting more pics any way as this is super cool lol
Any particular reason for 5x100? Is it a common offset?
gone 5 x100 as there are loads of light weight jap wheels in this PCD.
Cool cool
This is amazing as per!! Get some more porn pics up!
anymore updates? what system have you gone for? and i think it would be good to do a rr day when its running and see what it makes with my manifold. would be around 300bhp then would it not?
There are updates i hust havnt had chance to upload the photos. Find it a pain in the ass.
Now running scooby 5x100 bells with 330mm alcon rotors.
Front hubs re machined to accept the bells/wheels
Rear discs re-drilled and tapped to 5x100
Lower arms re-welded with new bearing carriers as the clark motorsport versions were dog ****.
Arms modified to run the tie-bars backwards
Tie bars made from titanium
Carbon fibre extinguishers purchased :)
Wiring loom nearly sorted
Brake lines nearly sorted
Tony will hopefully be starting the moulds for the body some time soon.
As for the manifold i doubt it will make much of a differance. According to one of the receipt's the manifold was made to swindons recomendations.
have you told jim clark that they are dogger? i'd have loved to have seen their faces. top build, whens she gonna be done for?
I told them that the tie bar mounts they send were ****e after waiting over 3 months for the kit. They replaced these.Quote:

Wishbone bearing carriers were welded on at differant angles, both of them wrong.
The welds all the way down the wishbones hadnt even penetrated the the steel so had to dig it all out with the miller and re weld them.
All the rose joit spacers were wrong so had to make some from scratch.
Awfull
i'd be asking for full refunds. sale of goods act mate....
Too far gone, recieved the kit years ago now. I sent the tie bar brackets back, they replaced these but it wasnt until the other parts were on the car that i noticed how shoddy they were.

I then re drilled on the miller to 5x100 and pushed splined studs in. These then had a small tack put on the back, notice there is a lip on the hub as well, this was put on to allow the disc to locate.

Sorry for lack of photos, not always easy to work and remember.
Car has now to be built up and put back on the floor, tony is tehn going to start making moulds whilst i do a dry build with all the brake line, wiring loom and fuel system.
I recently made some tiebars too …although not from titanium; looks like the bomb proof solution with those arms reinforced.
Please tell me those aren't the actual wheel you'll be running on it.
lol Afraid so. Incredibly light, weds sport racing. There will be others though.
Nice build :D
Arms are porn dude, is the disc safe with only a small cut out around the stud?
Good engineering!
Great work!
Cheers ben, yeah discs are perfectly fine :)Quote:
