What are your plans for it then Rick?
I know it's gone up your way Baz, I was taking the pi55
Just heard its managed the 400 mile journey home. Not bad for a car that's been off the road 4 years!
Lol another nova to Scotland, i hope its not the guy who bought my old one..
There all coming to us Scott :)
Shame it's gone Lee, but at the same time with the lack of usage it was the right decision!
The new owner is a member.............He may come out of the woodwork soon :)
Well I should have posted earlier but I am the proud new owner of this :) the car is amazing a very well put together Lee is nothing but a pure gent and one of the really genuine guys out there.. He told me every little niggle with the car not that there is many just the little bits that every owner knows about but no one else can see. Been too busy enjoying the car while the weather is nice. Cheers

Very nice buy, glad you're out enjoying it.
Cracking car mate hope to see it at somepoint
When is going round knockhill ? lol
Hope to see it soon if your still over here for a bit,
Good to see its still on here.
Finally let everyone know your the owner lol give me a shout next time your back mate.
I can honestly say I will never forget my run out in this car, an awesome car and well built, I hope it now gets used like it was built to be, and shown at all the shows, you've bought a fine example my friend
Yeah it really is a good example.... Don't really have much plans for it. Just a general tidy up (new jubilee clips, bolts etc),black hoses may fit the Gsi boot vinyl. Looking into an alloy radiator and possibly a hybrid turbo (think the oil seals are going a little bit) but apart from that it's great I really have an OCD with it...before I even collected it I bought a carcoon, paint for the garage and way to much on polish waxes etc but the car will get what it needs and more to keep it tip top! Yeah baz was looking forward to meeting you and scorge etc but this time home has been mad (probably spent the majority cleaning the nova). Roll on next year and I will get it out and about :)

Still unsure on rear lights....standard or clear?
Cheers
Thanks Graeme...it will be out in about always liked this nova since I joined. As you now Lee is a top bloke and I would easily buy anything off him again. Even though I own the car and will do my own little bits to it...even I will always know the car as Lee's.
When you out in it next seen you in elgin keith and buckie
That's it going to be tucked away for the time being I think...forecast rain tomorrow so it will likely get a wax and get locked up. I'm away back to work on Saturday! Will give me time to order up new parts and fit them next time home. What do you drive now?
Astra sri i wouldnt mind seeing this you still got another 1
perfection :)
Glad you are happy with it and glad you were so easy to deal with, smoothest car sale I have ever had. I now know my car has gone to a good home and will probably be looked after better than when I had it.
Enjoy and I look forward to reading your updates.
Red rear lights would suit IMO.
Congrats Rob, Good things come to those who wait :)
shaunyboy84,
yeah im over the moon with it cheers
Lee,
its taking over my life!!! lol will give you a call soon....the savings account will be put on hold for a bit :) This OCD is mad now. Think I will need to hire an accountant to deal with the Nova!!
Phil,
I'm still unsure I think because the body is so clean it suits any tail lights.
Kev,
Yeah I am glad I paid that extra bit for a very good example. The spec etc I could not build it anywhere near the money I paid for it plus there is not many shells like this left! (im back in Dubai now so will get in touch soon....just busy just now with a rig down)
Cheers!
No worries mate, I am here full time right now so drop me a text / skype :)
An excellent purchase fella, I should have bought it a while ago before committing to building my own. Personally I'd stick with the stock rear lights as they suit it perfectly. It needs no other changes whatsoever. ;)
Edit.... If you get the time please bring it to billing next year so we can all have a look round it!
Nick.
Scorge,
sent you a pm.... can never have too many options ;)
Nick,
Yeah its brilliant so glad I went ahead with it nearly bought it a few years back. Then spoke to Lee again and it was a case of if I don't buy it I will probably kick myself for not buying it. It really is a good example and I love the way the paint is nice and fresh and swirl free :) I don't plan on changing much....just little bits here and there nothing major as it doesn't need it. I think its more the case that I just want to buy things for it lol . I do plan on making a few shows next year, more just to get to know people and faces etc. I have been on here since 2006 and as you can see my post count isn't much :) . I know of most peoples cars on here so would be good to go down and actually see them. Would like to see your old cars....the finish to them looks brilliant and always wanted to see Keith's.
Cheers!
If you go to any of the shows next year I'll convoy down with you :) I'll see if Scorge wants to go down again aswell.
Chay/Baz,
I would be up for that....still think its strange that there are all these nice nova's up here but I never see any. Scorge aswell if its ready ;)
Sounds good, Scorge will be going aswell. I'll prob be the only one not going in a nova lol
Lovely car but the question is......when am I getting to drive it and put it through it's paces lol
Need more updates Rob :)
Hey Kev....updates will come soon enough not that it really needs much doing. Also need to have a look at it when I'm home. Just before I tucked it away I took it out for one last run, gave it some but when it was getting up the revs the engine management light was coming on and it was lumpy for say 2 seconds then fine....the air/fuel shows that it was running abit lean so unsure if this is a common thing or not?
shopping list so far is :
- carbon interior trim
- black hoses for engine bay
- smaller back box
the next thing is....ideally I would like to buy a hybrid turbo but I'm kind of lost in this area as there seems to be to much variety so just trying to find out what manifolds + turbos others are using first. I am not looking for a powergain/ chasing figures etc. so far I am swinging towards the gt28rs but will do abit of research first. Tried phoning some places but as I am out of the country at the moment they don't seem to be picking up the phone ( must be showing up as international caller and thinking I am calling to help claim back their PPI lol )
cheers!
