Looking good Bazil, you can't beat new parts mate! Love the SC303 radio, bought three of these myself, did you get the display case aswell? Funny thing is that over here the SC202 was the standard radio for the GSI. Good find on them doorcards.

I didn't get the case I'm afraid, the 202 was standard issue here aswell, i still have the vauxhall code card for its original unit but sadly I think I threw it out years ago.Quote:

Did you not have the round Griffin bonnet badge originally on the GSi?
I do still have the round badge on the gsi bonnet but it's in poor condition,
Aparently there are 2 sizes of vauxhall badge, the cavalier one is a different size to the nova one iirc, but I can't see myself drilling 2 holes in the bonnet to fit it, I'll just be using a form of glue.
I have the round Griffin for a Nova, brand new somewhere. If you need the later one I could swap if I can find it. Do you have the round boot decal?

It's amazing that you still have your GSI from when you were 21, I wish I had my Star Silver GSI from then! I think my life would be quite different if I had kept it. I bought mine in 1996 and sold it for £4200 in 1998.

The sad thing is the parts you've got are getting so rare now that they'll be worth more in a few years so won't be worth attaching to the shell.
At eBay prices I could EASILY make £4000 lol
That would include all my GTE panel stock aswell though, I have had thoughts of sticking up all the metal for sale but only as a job lot, it would have to go in one sale, I would not split anything,

Sadly rich if I don't build either of mine I'll never have another nova, I can't see me buying one to be honest, it's part of the reason why I haven't done a quick fix, there is no rush and no time limit for me, a small luxury I suppose.
You gotta do something, a 48 page WIP and you haven't even started yet! lol

Even if I found my 91 GSI in the same condition as yours, I'd fix it it up, just for the nostalgia, but alas I can't find mine, I guess it's been crushed and melted by now :(
