no joe, lol its staying as is :)

and lol browney, i done one and my mate did one. it was windy, and the welder was struggling. they are solid. if worst come to worst they fail, i make a new set and get them welded at work.

we welded some test pieces together. and cut it open, and penetration was good. so all should be well.

i can chuck my welder in the boot when i come over if you like buddy ???

i am impressed! awesome work. looks like it was meant to fit in there, nice job of the mounts but the sump could have been tidier IMO. + rep for doing something a bit different though and doing the work yourself

i didnt do the sump, my mate welded it up for me, it performs how i want it to, so thats all that matters lol.

why have you mounted it at 7 degrees and not straight mate?

because the gearbox is sitting at 7 degrees, to the engine has to as well. :)

havent been doing much as im skint, but managing to get on still lol

trial fitted some hoses for possible rad places.

coming along well, gearbox mount easy enough cut and weld a piece in

ok, i got a prop shaft which fits both ends now,

and have phoned a few companies who can shorten it. looking like 70 + VAT for it to be done. which isnt to bad IMO

also had an update on my inlet manifold from SBD. another 2 week wait. this is starting to take the biscuit.

ok so today i finally got my inlet manifold, looking like this

Whats with the TPS?

Is it going on management over the 1600 cav dizzy and coil stuff?

WOuld there be any way of mounting some custom lenses into the inner headlight holes, and then covering the outer holes with some perspex droop snoot style?

That would look ace :)

i thought the later chevettes had sticky out lenses... but i think they were like the manta ones...

this is ace i had one with a 1.3 engine which i ran a nova twin sr carb on it i used to love it esp sideways

its going on megajolt, but that TPS was there from the previous owner and i think i need to change it for a 4 pin one.

Inlet manifold looks very nice,
I actually prefer the lights you have on yours, not keen on those recessed ones.

lol, the recessed ones go for loads of money, like 100 quid a set with the recessed plastic bits. crazy money

Haven't looked at your progress recently and im seriously impressed love the look of it - i think you may like my latest acquisition!
