Good news buddy glad to hear she's road legal at last!
Thanks for the comments guys.
New updated V5 arrived today.
Had a nice run out in it yesterday.
Weeping oil from somewhere so just ordered an 8v baffle plate. (any gen on the tab bending mod thats needed) Job for this week. And filter change.
Also leaking gearbox oil lol but thats my own stupid impatiance!! Forgot to put the bung back in after adjusting the linkage.
Done 4 of them, never bent a tab yet.
Glad its all ok and you can drive it...
Sometimes the tabs catch arp's
dont forget the 8v bolts aswell pete
The 8v bolts for what they cost, look prettier and are clean. But then im just a bummer like that lol
Well its all back together and road tested. Brings a smile to my face! Managed to sort my ****e gears aswell. Worn bushes wasnt helping my cause with the adjustment.
Just wish this indecisive weather would sod off. Meant to be off out for a proper drive tomorrow. But im too scared to take it out in the rain. Yes im a nancy!
I dont blame you wanting to keep it dry.
Sod it. I took it out and I gave it some stick. Rain stayed away. Was great fun. In the convoy was an Audi tt 225 quattro, 1989 porker 911 carrera, and a 500+ bhp EVO. lol saw off the Audi and the porker.
Was such a laugh. Did about 70miles. Some awesome roads round these parts. Will get some pics up.
sounds like a near perfect day tbh, theirs some great 'driving' roads by me that i cant wait to get on when mine is road worthy
Few pics from my mates FB...

Sounds like a good proper run, bet it felt good blatting past the supposedly fast cars in a nova again!!
Lovely looking car mate ;)
lol ace, i had to laugh as i bet your mates think, god Pete grow up etc, but i bet the front disk's on that 911 cost the same, or more as a fully running XE engine!
So it drives well then... lol
Aye...it is certainly a smile maker!!
Did abit more tinkering. Got annoyed with not knowing how much fuel i actually had. So.....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMAG0129.jpg
....tried to make it abit pretty, but it serves a purpose!
lol and in readiness for its first "show" and Castle Combe later this month...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMAG0128.jpg
....hello show queen! Found some left over curtain pole. Well i think thats what it is!
Looks great, fuel gauge is a lil... Hhhmm will the dash one not work at all?
I'll have to come take pics of it at Combe...
The VX220 one works but reads in reverse. Had about £30 in the tank and it said refill. So after burning some fuel it would read 24l or 17l etc. lol so i had no idea! I guess i could have put a resistor in the circuit? Or found a way of getting the signal....but i fail massively at electrics! So this will have to do.
Aye, come on over and get some pics. Be good to put a name to the face!
lol she should have done some washing, then i couldnt have robbed it!Quote:

Been busy putting miles on it! Just over 400 now. Few little bits of tinkering along the way. as to be expected.
Got another bit of bling for it the other week...

Got round to fitting the side skirts yesterday. Well, one side lol
Didnt have them as standard, so no studs for the white clips. Just tiger seal them on i thought. Not enough surface for the sealant to adhere to. Had to figure out a way to fit the clips in the right place!
Cue me doing my usual measure 20 thousand times, various methods to check etc etc lol
Once i was happy i could drill holes in my nice fresh paint work!!
I will post a thread in the articles section with all my measurements. Hopefully it will make it easier for some of you.
Pics.... (off my phone. Didnt anticipate getting this far so didnt have my camera with me!)

Measured and repeated along the sill...

First one on..

Done!

And fitted! G clamp is to hold the upper part of the fin. Had to tiger seal this part. lol @ my colour coded plate!!!
Nice work on the skirts dude.
D'oh I was hoping the clips would be possible to tigerseal on - just not enough of it touching the bodywork to stick on well then? Nice work, measurements will be a useful addition to the Articles section
Top drawer as always Pete, very nice.
That was kind of my original plan. I am awaiting the confirmation of my thread. When i do the other side i will add more measurements.
Pete, make sure the carbon scuttle cover doesn't sit on the battery.
Got some foam tape stuck on where the terminals may touch.
love this thread well done Pete +rep
Cheers.
Pointless update lol
Was super clean for Billing and side skirts all fitted...but as you all know that didnt happen. So a few of us went for a blast his morning. I got abit snapper happy!!

Lopks great dude, really nice work. Whats the relay on the bulk head?
Nova is looking great. congrats on getting her on the road.
The single wiper, mirrors and skirts really do suit the look of the car. Very different without being to far away from original so a thumbs up from me on that!
And I thin rhe bay looks great, love the filter and rocker cover. ad the nice touches like the hoses set it off to :)
