My Nova 16v Project

geometry looks good olly, but i would want to keep an eye on the rose joint without the lock nut, not because it will come undone, but the threads arent the tightest fit in the thread inserts and so not having a locknut will give a little movement, which will eventually break the rose joint, have you got enough room for a skimmed down nut?

Yah, Jamie did say that I have to keep an eye on them, as there will be slight movement on the threads moving up and down, aswell as in and out.

I will see if there is enough for a slimmed down nut, alternative, I'll just get another pair of shorter tiebars made up, As I can use my current RJs.

no worries, it will wear the joint out pretty quick, as they dont like that sort of shock loading, maybe take a spare to the sprint if you can, as you say, an easy fix anyway though

rally design will next day if you order tommorow am, just make sure which thread you need, left or right, part numbers are HMR8-10T for right and HML8-10T

Olz, how about one of these: Item No.110260715172 or cut the guts out of a poverty spec seat, no one has to sit on it for the sprints, so it doesn't have to be comfortable.

Good find on the seat, I probably won't go down that route as I like to drive it on the road exactly the same as I do on the track.

I think the fibreglass bonnet, boot and carbon doors will do me :wisewood:

Moved the battery out of the wheel well tonight, to aid my cornerweights - so I'm going to get an alloy sheet to revit in place :thumb:
