My Nova 16v Project

So, here are the before and after results...

BEFORE ~ geometry ~ AFTER
-1.25° ~ front camber ~ -2°
+1.25° ~ front castor ~ +3°
-0.5mm ~ front toe ~ +1mm
-1.5mm ~ rear toe ~ +1mm

As you can see, we managed to split the front axel left to right weight distribution bang on 50/50, which as important.

We've shifted 6kg over the rear axel more, and lost it from the front - which is good

To help even the weight out - along with altering the ride height, I am to change the position of my battery from the centre of the wheel well - over to the far passenger rear as much as it can go.

65% / 35% split front to back isn't as bad as I was expecting from a stripped out Nova with a XE :thumb:

Just noticed, the total left to right split of the car is nearer to 50/50...

But we've lost a little on the corner to corner, but as said - its all minimal.

I'm now looking for lightweight alloys, after ordering my bonnet and boot :thumb:

I'm in a different class now though, last time I was in Mod Prod 1401>2000cc, but I've been removed from that as 'Modified Production' means that the engine in the car must have come in the car from factory.

So I'm now in Sports Libre 1701cc>, which is a bugger, but I'm not as close to the lap record as I once thought, the lap record in that class is 28 seconds, not 36 seconds - so I'm never going to hit that.

But I am going to race against myself :thumb: anything better than 36.66s I'll be happy :)

thats some fancy bit of kit they've got. will be interested to hear the out come on handling after a proper set-up

I'm aware now, in hindsight, that -2degrees negative camber is quite alot. lol

Well, not for a full out track car, but for the travelling to and from a track, could get through the insides of the tyres quite quickly lol
