It's welded to the shell on the A pillars, across the windscreen/roof strengthening, above each door and I think at the top of the B pillars. Just where the cage sits close to the car. Wasn't going to go for the gussets etc although I agree they look pretty mean!

That crossbar in the engine bay will get in the way of a set of throttle bodies ;)

You might get away with parrelel bodies fitted on a level inlet
