Nova Turbo progress

Booked for its first MOT in almost 5 years at 7 am tomorrow morning. Be the longest journey for almost 4 years with a 4 mile round trip to the station.

Had it out of the garage and ran it up to temp, found a small fuel leak from the new pump so sorted that. Checked all lights and all seems good to go. Can't believe the running was such a simple problem.

Gave the inside a quick clean.

So are we allowed to know who owns it now then?


And i think the only change i would make to it if it were mine, would be to refit the GSi interior, love the look of a 'normal' nova, with big power under the bonnet :d

Sorry but that's up to the new owner to reveal. Sure everyone will know soon enough.

Impossible to refit interior now without major work. Car has seat rails welded in front and old mounts cut out. Also all the rear seat mounts are gone as well. Was much comfier with interior tbh.

That's fair enough, still doesn't stop us being curious though lol

And I think that's because we're both getting older/wiser and like our creature comforts like sound deadening and carpets lol

Have to agree I couldn't sell I nova that nice :( you will regret it when its gone

Always been one of my fave novas. Was always hoping it would be getting split because I would of had that shell without even thinking about it! lol

Such a nice car Lee, totally understand your reasons for selling, hopefully you won't regret it too much later on. Also hoping it is staying with PNG and keeps it to the standard that it is now. Would be great to see it get used :)

End of the month, bank holiday weekend I think.

This time tomorrow the car will be in the hands of its new owner. Feels a bit strange, dreading watching it drive away already!

I thought I'd feel that way when my last two were collected.... In the end all I felt was relief!!

That's what I'm hoping I will feel tbh. The amount it's cost me while actually not going anywhere scares me! Will be glad to see the back of all the receipts for sure!

The way to look at it is you've done what you wanted, you've owned a well respected nova, and hopefully you had fun doing it and driving it when you did.
Your obviously past the nova thing now so its time it goes.

Only things i miss about my old one is the noise, speed and power, i dont miss the hassle of it or the worry of it breaking every time I used it lol

You really didn't drive it much did you!

Think I have done more miles tonight than in he last 4 years. Didn't want to take it out in the rain but had to go for one last drive in it before it goes tomorrow.

This is going to sound harsh but I think there is either something wrong with you or the car if you think a CTR is more fun than a Nova turbo.

I was on track last sunday and I was lashing them all day long in my XE!

Nothing wrong with me or the car, just an opinion after having both cars for a few years now. My non stripped out Civic battered XE Nova's all day long with just bolt on breathing mods.

I'd have to agree, the civics are awesome. Especially when you consider that's how they left the factory... A nove needs £5000 spending on it to get close! Lol

Looks awesome mate, good to see your parting with it on good terms after using it rather than it bejng broke for parts,

If you are happy selling your ultimate nova then barry on! No regrets :)
