If I get another day free I might take the dash out and tidy up some of the wiring back there. Its a bit of a mess, and a few things need fixing properly
They do look cool.
Id put some in mine but it seems quite a task hacking the ducting etc all away
Its not so bad, but much much easier to take the dash out first IMO lol
I was a bit worried it would be weaker without the metal supports and rattle about but it seems quite solid
Cav dials look good mate, though all that talk of hacking up heater vents has just put me off!
any updates mr rj?
No. lol
looks more like a blue skip everyday lol
he lies! lol
He doesnt lie, We've not touched the blue one at all :)
i think a secret job is going on to the blue loon
Slander!!!!
after exhaustive chat with rj, i can confirm there is no "goings on" with the saloon.
i can not confirm or deny the existance of project v6.
this file remains open................................ :)
I can also confirm that all I have in my workshop is a big puddle of gearbox oil, and a load of empty Dr Pepper cans!!?? . Where they came from is a mystery!?
i have an idea. over to mr jack.........
(hopefully with pics!)
i think these would be an upgrade on the standard cav ones you have RJ
before.

p.s, contrary to what that site says there was a c25let, vaux did a dozen or so in calibras as cop cars. jaimie-d's wip on mig mentions them.
p.p.s that v6 is in a mk1 astra it was at pv this year.
V6 in a euro'd mk1 Astra gets me moist man!
after reading posts here.
i still think there are secret going ons with the blue loon you know lol
nope. there isnt anything going on*
*not yet anyway!
saw this loon today, quality! thats all i can say v6 saab you are a mad head!
Oh, so thats where my WIP got to lol
holy crap an update....
Where? lol
I've got a backlog of updates (A year's worth! Almost to the day!) to put up on my WIP site, but that needs rebuilding and rehosting first. Wait for the WIP link to reappear in my sig lol
Is this still alive? :d
Ban for bumping an old thread :p
And yes, think it might be back up to full power as well now too. Will give it an oil change and test this weekend.
I was intrigued to know how your cars going as it's the only V6 that I like. :kissesasssmiley: :d
Edit: Some may not have seen it, this is my favourite picture lol

At least it will be worth something when we strip it out again ;)
Remember the sealant we used between the inlet manifolds? I actually got off my backside and replaced with some proper O(mg)-rings! :d
That and did the CTS too, as the old one was.. erm... well the sensor side looked like a stalagmite and the connector side was buried under a few centimetres of oil where the rocker covers have thrown most of it out lol

Also this month, fitted the heated front screen. Here's the old one being slowly and extremely carefully removed, ensuring caution at all times to protect the glass from the slightest damage. Note the massive crack from where we tried kicking it out.
