I run 25mm eibach spacers on the front, they're the hubcentric jobbies so not a total bodge :wtf: TBH from the limited track work I've done with them on, I can't fault it so far! My wheels are ET45 iirc and 7inch.
Here's a clearer pic of how they sit

And without spacers

I'm not saying it can't be done or anything but i would say that its not easy. Trouble is with lowering is that just about every other aspect of handling is affected. I suspect that deviating too far from std set-ups or those quoted in the competition Nova handbook (which incidentally is all geared to rallying only) might only serve to spoil the otherwise good handling charactersiticsQuote:

seen this myself, love this car
seen this car at the pv show and looked better than it does in the pics. quality car mate :thumb:
Cheers for the comments guys :)
And big thanks to Olly, the pictures look great (dare I say, even better than the Total Vauxhall pics ;) ) :thumb:
great car:thumb:
High praise indeed coming from someone with a car as genuinely innovative as yours, thankyou very much :DQuote:

Still ony of my favourites Oli !
Keep the Polo Lights, it looks mean.
Cheers Nick :) And Steven, you should've come said hello, always keen to chat with fellow enthusiasts :thumb:
Here's a pic with one nova light fitted, I lost the drivers side light when I moved out of the workshop, so I'm currently borrowing one of Nova neil (cheers buddy!)

I think I will return to the polo light setup. I'm going back to work next week and I know we had some Lexan kicking around that I can fashion into some headlight covers, then smoke them up with tint film or similar for a funky look
now that just looks like any normal wide arched, black bonneted mk2 nova lol
go round :D lol
Big thanks to Olly H and his mate Matt for coming over and helping to diagnose my mystery misfire, turns out the DIS pack is to blame. Easimap is a lovely bit of kit and I'll be investing in a £2 Ebay comm lead so I can look like a pro with my laptop hooked up
So I need to purchase a new DIS pack, any recommendations as to which are best and where to buy from would be gratefully received :thumb:
Also whilst diagnosing some problems with Olly's car we noticed that the spacers behind my rack had fallen out on one side, resulting in some quite severe rack wobble :tard: All fixed now tho, undid the ally mounts, slid some packing in behind and tightened it up! Its quite shocking how much the bulkhead flexes though
Cheers Olly and Matt!
Been struggling with cash flow lately, hence why no real updates :(
But I went and tried the Calibra's coilpack on the Nova today and.......WOW  It's so much faster than i ever remember it being, it pulls so much harder and cleaner throughout the rev range, and feels genuinely a lot faster than I can remember :D:D:D I reckon the coilpack must've been dodgy for a long time! I will be purchasing a new coil pack next week!!! I'll try and get some cam vids tomorrow ;)
Seriously  I'm that convinced that its quicker, that I want to RR it and take it to the Pod!!!
Old coilpack was probably giving a weak spark or something?
Or youve got so used to driving that calibra with the barge big block, that the nova seems uber quick  lmao
Yeah the old coilpack was funked, it has been spluttering on start up for a while, and i'd noticed that my driving style had gradually got modified to the point that I was keeping the revs quite high to avoid large throttle openings which would cause hesitation and sluggishness, now I can give it full throttle from idle and it shoots off :D And its started torque steering and wheelspinning again  Might head up maccy D's and do some PHAT burnouts geeza! lolQuote:

Well with the joys of a new coilpack and working engine, I thought it was high time i did some chavving - Que 7krpm launching lol

What that video doesn't show is the violent torque steer I'm getting, I KNOW, torque steer on a small block
I also realised that the coilpack has been breaking down for some time, cos I had problems at USC on the quarter, with it misfiring so bad I had to abort some runs.
Glad it's all sorted Ol, chuffed your coming up to TOTB too :)
What you up to today?
Probably gonna sort the heater override switch, swap back to Polo headlights and a few house chores later  What you got planned?
More TOTB prep
nova ian coming over again to give me a hand with some final bits, however the list is quite long! lol
Loads of time yet, it's not for another week :tard:
Sounds SWEET!
excellent choice :DQuote:
