I think the centers looks good in black
Get the centers done to match the finish on the rim.
I like the 2nd photoshop down, though the logo is LARGE.
Matching the finish on the cap to the rim is easier said than done me-thinks. Good update though Ted.
Cambelt, battery & fire her up!
Craig I'm a numpty and miss read Edds post so my skills are wasted lol
Oh. That makes me a numpty aswell then!
Cheers mate, needs a little more than that to fire up lol getting close thoQuote:

The caps in the link only go over the center bore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol lol lol lol
The easiest option is probably the small bore caps colour coded grey/black to the wheels then IMO. I prefer the open centres anyway.
Yeah me too, I don't really like the original caps tbh
The caps in the link are the right size have the old logo look good IMO so makes sense
first time ive ever read you wip matey! seen all the pictures but way to many commets to read the lot lol, how muc did the bilsteins set you back i want some :( looking fakin good though chap!
Cheers
Bilsteins cost me £450 for 4 shocks and springs
Ouch, just to annoy you a little I paid £117.50 for a full set of new genuine Irmscher Bilsteins from Tom at Irmscher :)
Courtenay at £450 was the cheapest I could find them with springs included :(
Wish I'd phoned Irmscher now lol
It was about 5 years ago, they had 3 sets but I could only afford one set at the time :(. Mark had the other 2 sets I think.
Was rude not to, I had 3 sets in total I think, and I paid £100 inc post and VAT lol :thumb: one set still here to useQuote:

Anyways Mr Edd, where are the updates?
No updates ATM
Managed by chance to find a local powdercoaters, other place wanted over £100 to do a beam
Waiting to get back, tie bar mounts, tie bars, arb, diff + clutch cover plus some small bits
Also waiting for some driveshafts and alloy top mounts
Once I have all that I can assembly the front end and roll it outside for the first time in months and get some pics
Sounds good dude.
Cheers, need to crack on with it as I've got our house up forsale and would like most of it done before someone buys it and I have to move
I've also dropped two Zender front spoilers out to my mate to be painted
Also given him a GTE boot spoiler to have painted as well, but not sure if to fit it or not ???
Think a GTE one will look good.
GTE spoiler would look good as it wont stand out as much as a grey one.
More subtle.
A small update, would of been bigger but had grief will topmounts and clutch fitting lol
Got this lot back from the powdercoaters the other day
http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...S/99393487.jpg
Also had a SR steel done in silver
http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...S/113d310e.jpg
Thats it for now, hopefully be able to put all the front end back together over next few weeks
Still not got my Zender spoilers and GTE rear spoiler back from being painted but did win a Valeo clutch for 99p on ebay tho :d

Thats about the only good thing to happen on the build lately  lol
Edd
another update lol
following on from this >CLICKY<
I AM NOW PISSED OFF WITH THE CASH GUZZLING,SPANISH ROT BOX !!!!!!!!
Very pissed off with it now , have to remove box, to fit clutch, might fit the other box :tard::wtf:
Why did you fit the engine and box if it needs a new clutch?
Bad times having to remove the box, :(
There is a clutch fitted but its not new, as i couldnt find a new one at the time of fitting the engine,as i ahve a small garage i needed to fit the engine as box to be able to have space to work round
Just thought id be able to replace it like i have in past times
I'd just leave it then, if the clutch you fitted was decent, you may never have to replace it anyway :)
im in two minds what to do now
i know the millage on my spare box tho
wish id just fitted it in the first place
Edd mate it's always the way with Nova's TBF i would do as Keith said, but thats only as I'm lazy! lol then if it does slip/need replacing you can do it all on the spare box etc then just replace the lot complete, just an idea?
Scott
Now decided to fit the other box as I don't want the lingering thought of 'what the fook is that box' lol
After the driveshaft, then the top mount crap now gearbox stuff, think I'll leave it for a week before doing anymore :(
Did you say you had some epas pictures to put up Edd? Just picked mine up and want to get started but just doesn't look that easy, more help required please mate
I do have some I'll post them up when I find digi camera
The first thing you need to do is cut/drill spot welds out the lower standard column mount off the shell
Then cut the top bracket off the nova column
I'd leave the clutch in there. If then you wanna change it, lower the engine down and pop the box off.
Sure you need aslide hammer to get the shaft out...
you get your antiroll bar fitted yet ?
any pics soon ? :)
There will be a update over next few days for sureQuote:

Any info on where you got all the top mount bits, as i found them hard to get complete, and was not sure what parts i needed etc, so i just re-used mine on the mk when i put the billys on.
Scott
I got the lower spring seats with bearings, the small cup thing on the very top, and the top bush mount with the studs in from Vauxhall
I got a pair of Flo-Flex spring seats
Then the other spacer bits in-between the upper and lower bits I just used old ones as there's nothing to wear out on those bits, just cleaned them up and painted them
Tbh I really need to crack on with this as I've just sold our house and had a offer accepted on another, would really like most of it done before moving.
Got three weeks off work after next week so will have a good go at getting it running at least
Really need to find a new right side ATE caliper tho lol
i can't wait to see this car done :)
That makes two of us lol
Got that rear bumper you sent me link to, cheers for that :thumb:
well if i can find new one you'l be the 1st to know :)
what other bits you needing ?
front badge still ?
I think I have one sorted but always on the look out for one
Got most other bits now
