lead WILL NEVER sag and it is not why modern day bodyfillers were invented lead is very expencive thats all
I had them lead loaded because I seen Keith had his lead loaded on his LET Nova and he only does the best so I thought with me doing a course in Vehicle Bodywork at College I might as well get it done with my doors too :)

1400 engine while I was there, pretty much finished now just to be fitted:
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...a/SV203148.jpg
Just need to source front and rear carpets, under dash trays, boot carpet and a parcel shelf and the interior will be complete
Need to dig out the sill trims and clean them up as well so everything is just ready for the re-fit. The dash also needs stripped down and cleaned
Cheers, Vaughan
Nice bunch of parts. Coming along well mate.
Cheers Craig :thumb: Just plodding away with what I can atm
Can't really afford to splash out and buy much but I have MOST of what I need for it here
Can't wait for it to be done lol I've seen me at college sketching a Mk1 Nova, GSi spoiler, early front end, GTE rear bumper, big'ish exhaust, 5 spoke wheels, slammed etc etc Just to get an idea what this will end up like
I'm looking forward to really cracking on with it
shes coming on well
looking at yours and lewis mk1 makes me want one so bad lol
I keep wanting to try my bumpers, lights etc on to see what it's going to look like but I'm going to refrain lol
Can't wait to get it done but it's no getting chucked together just so it's done - Want to take time with it and do it right 1st time :)
Get a Mk1 mate - I wasn't looking for anything in particular with this just wanted a very clean, fairly rot free shell
F*ck chasing rot lol Still some good Nova's out there that need no/minimal welding! There the ones you want
theres a mk1 about 300 metres from my house its been lying for 2 years now might check it out would do no harmlol
Would be worth a look boss :)
Small'ish update from today - Got the Nova's moved about in the lockup so there's room at the front of my Mk1 so we can put the engine in:

Collected the engine from my bit today - Sitting on the 'workshop' floor:

Then something I really COULD NOT resist; Trying the 40's on for size:

1st thing I said after I took the pictures... 'Thats my engine!'
Comments welcome

Need to clean up the 40's and inlet manifold, get gaskets for the engine and put everything back on it then give the engine a good service and re-fill
gearbox oil
That'll be happening in the next few weeks!
Cheers, Vaughan
Get new oil filter... 1 without paint on it lol
Looking good pal :)
Getting a good service mate so that'll be changed anyway :)
looking good Vaughan. You'll need to finish it and sell in time to buy the next one from me!
lookin good chum.............:thumb:
The fun starts when the engine goes in. Good work pal.
Cheers for the positive comments :)
Jamie - Keep K95 a wee bit longer and I'd consider buying it from you! I'd love to own it one day
Never realised the engine was in, its getting there. the engine bay looks really clean man.
You need to give those carbs a good cleanup though, get them gleaming !!
Just need to spend more time with it mate - Going to get the carbs back to that bare metal kinda effect and polish them up
Want them 'original' looking and no that fake painted effect
yeah, id recomend a very small wire brush in a drill to clean them, and then some autosol. thats all i did my top end with and youve saw how clean that come up.
Looking forward to see how they come up.
Just won another set of mudflaps on eBay for this project so it'll have 4 matching BRAND NEW period Vauxhall mudflaps! lol
Pointless update but one none the less
Comments welcome
Cheers, Vaughan
looks minted need to see it up and running
Where do you keep finding these mud flaps too ? lol
Been after a set for ages !! I'll end up settling for dealer sport ones I think.
Looks good with the engine in tho mate.
My Dad is an eBay-a-holic lol He stumbles across them then I bid haha
Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be picking up some Bilstein suspension (Providing it's the right stuff. Yellow shockers I've been told to look for ?)
And next month I'm picking up a Snowplough front end hopefully :)
