To be honest it's a fair price if its mint. To someone like me wanting a flawless original shell it would be worth that all day. I was chatting to a guy a Protec and he was saying how to meet rally car build deadlines they have driven to Seville to pick up a Nova just because of the condition!
Looking at your other threads it seems you have an eye for the minters too!

I might, have a sand at it on another day, and lay some primer and hand splash some Jam yellow on it.
Simon, i would hate to sell it to some one and then it be striped and turned into a rally car, but i guess you sell it and thats that! lol My track car is for sale though!

Tempted to sell the Astra and the mk1 jam yel as well and get something nice!
Why not soften the track car down a little, even if its reversible stuff (suspension etc) and keep it?

In my opinion, it is a bueatiful and rare car. Keeping it original is the best way, it is unusual (ie it's not tarted up to look like a SR or sport) and early standard novas in excellent condition do attract attention.
My first Nova was an early one and I did it up to look like an SR. Now that I am much older, I wanted one the same as mine was, it took 2 years of searching to find a good early example that had not been tampered with at all, and I love it!
Mazz, no i just want it gone mate, it's got so much money in it, if worst happens i break it and keep parts.
As for SR rep, Burgo good point i might have the seat free IF i replace them, and i see the point in keeping the car standard too, but im bored of it, and feel it now serves no purpose as im not with carrie and its not getting used..
I want to put allot of time and effort in to making a modified saloon, no standard sh1t, no strip out crap either...

Got a mate of mine to do it for me, he's done a good job of removing the crease and filling the dent out, then his mate painted it, and so far the paint job to me looks spot on!

Stunning job on the repair! Not tempted to keep it now though it's fixed? I really need to find myself a trustworthy person to spray the Nova when it's time!
Simon the only way i would keep it is if i had a garage/barn etc i could store it in on axle stands for a good few years while i dont want to drive it etc and keep it under a cover mint etc..Quote:

Think it helped me pushing the dent out with the jack also, and the new paint is better then the rest of the car now thought lol
Just have to bare the parting with it now so i can crack on with project Loon, think the look will be last Nova, and possibly last modified car project?
So popped an got a new tyer fitted on drivers side today, as noticed the one on it was getting a bit bald! had the wheels all aligned/tracked balanced! drives lovely even on high walls!

I might do it again and go another 10mm as it still looks high lol
and i took it out for blast after and it handles very very good, so much so i got huge oil surge when going one roundabout and left a huge could of burnt oil behind me! can you stop this like on XE's?

looks cool as mate, the front still looks a touch high, maybe another 12mm would level her out?
So decided to take the C spanner to it again! lol
Now i was assuming the shock body's on the coilovers would have the same amount of thread on them, so i was using this to gage how much to wind them down by, so now i have brought the drivers side another 12mm down, and the passengers side another 15mm as it seams to sit higher!
So around 25mm/30mm lower then where they started now, looks a bit better, best thing is i set the bolt on the top camber hole to the most forward position, so Ive got no camber so i wont eat through tyres like if it was on normal shock and 60mm springs etc..

I'm very tempted to re paint the spokes on my mo's in anthracite and put them on this, but I'm not sure as i spent all that cash to get them powder coated...

I'm not selling any! i want to keep the hatch as she is, and do a wide euro sort of style thing to the loon, the Astra is a nice daily (though I'm using the 1.2 more at the mo) practical car, and worth less to sell then the 1.2 lol
