Definately something a lot lighter - Not sure if white would look too much
I'm sure someone will do a few photoshops for you
Maybe a nice shade of pink :)

Looks ace dude!
Yeah just a subtle medium metallic grey would set them off a treat!
God knows how your car always looks so stunning!!
Scott
Dont think pink is quite me, on your mystery project maybe!Quote:

So I take it your happy with the Performance/Handling/Braking - just after a change of look - something easier to keep clean :)
Didn't realise you were selling up - need something with more bedrooms for Kids ?
Yea happy with the car, handling could be better but think i just need suspension setup properly.Quote:

I think dave has hit it on the head. Wheels look good wrong colour. I was thinking of going with some bronze wheels on my black 200 to break it up a touch. Maybe work on this although I know your not black?
This kind of bronze....

Re-looking at it I think your car colour is too close to that shade anyway :(
Looks great i would go gold with new decals :thumb:

Once back in i dragged its sorry ass out of the garage & gave a real quick clean before sticking it back under its cover.

Just waiting now for my new Magnecor leads to arrive.
Had heard loads of good things about Magnecor & their customer service & delivery times. To be honest my opinion at the moment is their toss!!
Hope their leads are better than their service :)
Just read every page of your build martin and your nova is stunning I have also pmd you dude
Car looks awesome, but have to say anyone i have ever spoke to say magnecor leads are way overpriced for no gain whatsoever other than a bit of bling for the engine bay.Quote:

2nd pic down, car looks stunning!
Hi,
Been for a small tat on the Nova tonight.
Ever since i have owned a Nova with an XE i have always been missing the cover from gearbox over the flywheel.
Picked one up the other week then dropped it at powdercoaters for a spruce up.
Now on once i had some M7 bolts. What were Vauxhall thinking..............M7 now there is a uncommon size!

Never been a fan of the pipework on XE Novas where you have to tee in the waterpipe return to the header tank. Always looks a little messy to me. Decided this week to do something about it!
Quick e-mail to Bailey Motorsport got me a water 'spout'
Then out with the drill!

Obviously still work in progress.
Will drop it off hopefully Monday to get it welded on then off to get it spruced back up.
This damn thing also broke so whilst at the welders hopefully he can do me a fix on this.

Will post some more snaps up once the welder has done his stuff & hopefully will make the bay look just that little bit neater that nobody will probably ever notice!
IMO I'd scrap the stainless heat shield - too brittle for the heat from the exhaust manifold
If you must have one - It will be cheaper and easier just to buy a new one rather than pay someone to re TIG the old one, grind up and polish etc
Dont know if you can still buy ones the same as this.Quote:

Home page says last updated Feb 08 so i think they have gone.
£30.60 from Courtenay!
Think i will try a repair first :)
how much !! lol they never used to be that did they :(
pah, carbon Mart!

Yeh - think of the weight you'll save !!!
Mazz wheres that Carbon one from??
Martin, i had one of the stainless ones, funny enough i ditched it as it also got brittle and snapped on the bolt holes etc..
Good call on the header tank, i might get this done to mine too, as i know a guy locally who welded two of trumpets after the welds failed on them, so he might just make it all for me etc, and if i do that ill get a TX rad while its drained out..
Good to see progress mate, Ive been on on mine tonight just getting it on stand and draining oil/remove filter ready for new oil tomorrow.
Scott
I need to mate. Seem to have a bit of middle age spread going on at the moment, so need to counteract that! lolQuote:
