well well well, what a day.............
started off this morning at 9, me and ash (good mate) started to fit my immobiliser, anyway "have you got the diagram dave?" oh testicals, so after 10 mins of hunting on the interweb we finally found one..
then big gra off here same down in his capri, he has returned to mova-ism thank god, and i remembered we were to go upto the scrappy to get him a track rod end and wisbone, so off we went, while ash very kindly kept fitting the immobilier for me.
anyway after an hour or 2 we finally got back, to find ash ahd fitted the immobilier ignition bit and had it all working, ace i thought, then it was time to attack the coil system
took us 10-15 mins to wire it into the coil, so now it wont crank or bump start without the immobilier de-activated, brilliant, its now got a 7mm chain that goes round the wheel, a alarm and an immobiliser, she aint going anywhere lol
anyway got her out and about, to only find that for some reason the interior light was stuck on, so out with the light switch box, afew scratching of heads later and we foudn we had wired the earth up rwrong, DOH!
anyways after we fixed that, the fog light had blown its fuse, so in with a new one, and that one blew instantly, some sort of c0cked up wiring, anyways we fixed that, it was a iffy connection
then we got her out in the open again, only to find she was running extreamly rough around 1000-2000 revs, so back into the garage she went
out with the feeler blades, had about 5 people working round the car to set the points up, roucking it forward etc in 4th, for some reason the points had gone out by miles, quick twist of the screwdriver and hey presto, sorted!
had a quick blast in her, and she's still got a bad misfire, see video below
