So is it half electric? Half turbo half electric supercharger? Anything now-a-days called Hybrid is exactly that lol
(BTW I am joking)
Iirc from what James said, it will make and hold boost better...
So not having enough things to do at the mo, i thought why not start another?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...oeingeye25.jpg
I then weld the holes you can see, as i want to use as little filler as poss.
Black carbon fiber glassed over it (as its a flexi fibreglass)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...oeingeye27.jpg
Sanded that off tonight and use a very small skim of filler to make 100% smooth. Gonna take it and primer it tomoz.
aha thats why theres no towing eye :)
Yep yep, well will have one, but a different one, like a mk4 Astra one with a screw in hook, that will point down to the ground. but still be able to use just incase.
Bored? I have thought you'd have got a spare bumper rather than using a pristine one!
The number plate lights already been removed so had to carry on... Plus it's only a bit of paint work.
Oh and i wasn't bored, far from it. Got so much to do it's unreal.
Youre a brave boy chopping chunks out of your bumper dude, i wouldnt have the balls if my car were even half as nice as yours
lovin your skills
Good work there benn..
i'll be round soon so you can do my number plate recess lol (joke)
:thumb:
What grit paper did you go up to on the bumper benn, it looks very smooth.
me likey ben :thumb:
all the little things add up at then end imo
Cheers dude, washed it today and cleaned the leather ready for combe.
Wish i had your skills :(
Alot are easy ish to learn. I'm not as skilled as i should be tho. Thank you tho.
you should get bedroom motorsport(MIKE) to sell the old hole. lol
he'd get about 50 quid on the bay for that
Sell the toeing eye bit? Dont think many would by it..lol
Nice little touch there Benn
:) thanks Edd.
hahaha true. I have a garage full of crap, might be the start of my empire...
didn't you know that in his part of the world, shilling is still legal tender
Finished off, ready for primer.. Well once primered i'll see anything that's wrong with it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMAG0143.jpg
Feel ive been slacking here.. But i have been working...
So after my brake down at Combe, ive changed coil, king lead and moved the coil, which is tucked away safely.
King lead and coil wiring..

Long enough to hide,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0447.jpg
All fitted and routed, all working too.
Had a big issue at 11:30pm.. When the car locked me out. Found the bars that link the handle to the latch had come off so had to rebuild both doors, while there i changed the window runner after a screwed up trimming it and had to "fix" it...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0441.jpg
Tried to rebuild my pillar pod for my boost gauge, still dont like it. Still don't fit right.
Oh and i found this, my first Pv i took a car took... (2003)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...srednova-2.jpg
Looked nice in red.
No.
wooo looks strange seeing it in red lol
look better in blue :)
I never really liked Red Nova's. But at the time there was nothing else about. Like them now tho.. Just blue is way better.
Despite owning three red Novas it's never been my favourite colour but it's nice seeing any nova on the road these days lol
lol i've had two now. And very true, i followed a Sola down the motorway today, was so excited.
While working under the car over the winter, i noticed some small bubbles right on the edge of the arch... I wasn't happy.
So took the grinder too it...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMAG0185.jpg
Happily it wasn't rust. Looks like moisture had got in and lifted the filler/primer. So it was all sanded back, the lip on the inside of the arch has been bare metalled, sealed and painted. So that should be all sorted..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch9.jpg
Sadly a bit of stopper was needed...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch8.jpg
All masked up and primered...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch2.jpg
All primer flatted and panel prepped.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch4.jpg
Being painted...

Chris checking his work...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch1.jpg
After my late night break in.. By me. The door needed a small blow in...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch7.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Reararch6.jpg
All painted too. Just need to flat and polish the car tomoz and clean it and it is now filthy! The drivers door card is covered in dry and other ****...
Found my scuttle cover had broken, so have remade it and thought a lil leather might look nice.... Needs finishing i know...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...on/Scuttle.jpg
Now, i saw a flocked plug cover and thought they look cool, but need a bit better than cool. So after chatting with Pray (Al) the flocking expert, Who i cant thank enough for the quick work and unbelievably quality, we worked this out...
Take one chrome plug cover.... Add some masking... Then Add some flock... You get this custom jobbie...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...plugcover1.jpg
Mmmmmm feels so nice...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...plugcover7.jpg
Think that is it.....
Good call on getting rid of the rear tow eye and recess, after all who are you going to be towing lol
Liking the new changes. The flocked spark plug cover with the polished lettering looks great.
Very hairy.
I like how you're happy to grind back and repaint parts as you please to keep it looking tip-top. Paying for bodywork always sounds a bit daunting to me.
Liking the plug cover.
Liking how you spot a few imperfections and just go ahead and grind back, then have the whole rear 1/4 resprayed lol
