Benn's on going build

Benn does not look like you have that much room on the cooler to chop the inlet/outlet back? how about chopping them off all together, getting the holes blanked, then getting the inlet/outlet welded back on at a 45 deg angle? Obviously if it will fit with 90's then fair play

I think he meant hes having the cooler pipes modded, i assume cut/alloy welded at an angle?

If im right, what sort of places will do this?

They will be cut flush with the cooler, then have the elbows welded on.

Any welder/metal fab place can do this and theres one next door to my polishers.

ah cool get you mate, any place can do it as said, just need to know if they do ally tig, as not all places are set up for aluminium!

yeh i see what your saying, but to have them cut off and welded back on will add to the price. one of the small forge ones are around 160 i think and you can choose where the outlets go.

will definately consider one of these though.:thumb:

Yeah, i know he can. Hes gonna do the turbo inlet too. He does all kinda metal fab and welding. Inc stainless.

But thats 100more... And if you trim the front pannel you can just use normal elbows.

Got the union ends from rally design, but they dont fit how i thought they would. They screw stright to the bias.

XE AFM won't fit, its loads smaller.

Poo. Well its on the other side so should be ok.

which side is the end facing the turbo? is it the side with the holey mesh or the other one?

Just thinking if its the side facing the turbo i would remove it, dont want it getting sucked through!
