Having the panels is avery good start tho.
I have found that delaying the start of a build is much better for me,
It means I have more time to buy more new parts lol,
The car will receive a thermal paint removal process to remove all under body coating and seam sealer, then the chassis will be mildly blasted. After the welding all bolt on parts will receive a KTL treatment before being painted with primer. Under body will be done in rubber coating.
You forgot the 'stroopwafels'...

yes and a few of them , yum lol
Mmm, they sound tasty.
BTW, what is KTL tratment?
KTL is cataphoresis paint
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTL
They use this as a primer for powder coating...
nice to see your back on this thread. thought you were dead mate lol
lol sorry bud. bet you cant wait to get her finished and on the road :d
A little update!
Found these two here in the Netherlands, cleaned them and stored them just in case I might need them in the future:

Car is coming out of storage tomorrow to have it's MOT for the last time before the restoration as that is planned for April/May 2014. But maybe I'll do Billing 2014 with the GSi and start the restoration in August 2014.
Some small stuff arrived last week:

hello jeff,
did you ever find out about KTL, can you get your whole car treated
I have my shell ready to blast, not sure to get it soda blasted or liquid treated dipped into the likes of KTL,
don't want rust coming back
So, got my first quote for the full rebuild... Fekking € 15000,00 my god! That scared the hell out of me! Need to negotiate a more fair price me thinks!
Was that for them so build you a fleet of new nova's lol
That's the type of quote someone gives if they don't want the job lol,
Well he does want the job, but with zero experience I was wondering what would be a fair price for a full rebuild incl respray...
Mine needs the exact same treatment as Kieth's, this needs to be done:
New front part welded in
New inner wings welded in left and right
New inner wing support braces welded in left and right
New front chassis legs welded in left and right
New sills welded in left and right
New rear quarter welded in left and right
New roof skin welded in
New rear part welded in
New bonnet
New doors left and right
New tailgate
Parts are not included in the price.
Some work needs to be done on the underside incl under-body coating removal.
The shell will be blasted twice, once before welding and once after welding to prep before coating/respray.
Full respray inside and outside incl engine compartment and under-body color coded.
I'll post up his offer in the club section as soon as I receive it.
so its a new nova you will end up with then
That sounds like fun :)
Still a crazy price though lol
What's your price then Bazil?? :)
For that kind of money I can buy myself a 1975 Porsche 911 SC Targa...
Send me the GSI and all the parts and I'll crack on
May take me four years like mine did
But you've had four years collecting parts
And have enough to make two nova's
Stu
But then your not getting it back!
Sorry
I'll bring her over in a month mate. Will she be done before Billing then?
Billing 2020 ish
Not to put a date on it
So, bought some more parts for it as I need to save up some more to start the rebuild... :wtf:

I think your worse than me with parts mate :thumb: is there anything you need for it now parts wise?
Panel wise it's just the sunroof roofplate, everything else is here...
Minor progress, fitted another GSi logo onto the grill...
