Did you buy the rattle can off the shelf?? Or custom made jobbie?
As far as i know you cant get it off shelf, i used left over paint from the pot i have from it's paint job.
And now you say bout the paint off self etc, i did see a new shape Corsa d in a very similar color to Jamaica yellow earlier, wonder if there re-doing it?
Scott
Yeah theres 2 in my local Vauxhall dealers that look like they're Jamaica yellow, and there's a Corsa C sxi withe the irmscher chin spoiler and skirts driving about locally that also looks to be jamaica yellow. I keep getting ideas in my head to get one and paint the bottom half dark grey to do a Nova SR type rep lol
Well did some more to the battery try today, think it's ready by midweek for bat to go back in.

Paint looks good scott nice job really like this mate + rep for keeping it standard too.
Damo.
Batteries back in, Fuel pipes all sorted, air filter on, 1/4 choke!.... starts first time one small turn! lol love they old beaut!
So i popped it in for an MOT tonight, i hope it passes no issues, should do "fingers crossed" and then tax it, place the missis on the insure so we can use them both to shows etc.
Scott
just seen this now total awsomeness (if thats a word)
Nice one mate, lovely car and my favourite colour, wish I still had my yellow sr :(
Sailed through its mot again, need to replace the wiper blades though, Karl the mechanic said one's worn, lol Ive not used them in 8 month's? no wonder one's on it's way out..
Tax it tomo, then insure the missis on it.
Scott
Nice to see your keeping it maintained and doing jobs that need doing
Fair play for letting the mrs use it as her first car tho mate
Edd
I've lots and lots to do to it mate, I'm not really maintaing it very well tbf, need to either get another beam and get it blasted.coated etc, or get the one on it freshed up off the car, need to give the underside a bit of attention to, got some small scab's here an there that need sorting etc.
PLUS needs a massive cut/polish lol
Scott
Soo... Car's Taxed as well now, and after a few good days of trawling through loads of insurance company's it's insured, none of them would go agreed policy or classic with Carrie on it till she's got 1 yrs NCB/or held license for 1 yr, and is over 25 etc..
So i had to get a new standard policy with more then, it's for both of us Fully comp,1 yrs full NCB (due to renewal in Sep cant get 2 years)
so it came in a nice and comfy £314!
Not bad, lets just hope "everything crossed" nothing happens to it for 12 months, then i can switch it back to Agreed/classic cover etc.
Scott
Leave it off the road for a year then and buy her a Saxo lol
pmsl, but that pointless, we don't have the cash to do so, or any means of insuring her on her own yet.
Just buy something cack that's tax and test to get the first years no claims IMO ;)
Read all way through, brilliant job matey!!
I got a 306 for my mrs for £60 taxed and tested.
Look hard enough and spare the nova!
Saying that, if she's sensible, all will be fine.
I'll do some updates soon, as the missis has been driving it loads recently, and quite well i may add..
Ive got things to do on it, but not much cash, plus Ive hurt my back and got laid off, so alls good! lol
Small update.
Got a Gen new GM battery tray liner, from a member selling on here.
Need to fit it tomo.
And then some pics from the passengers seat of the other half driving it..

Do have a vid but it's not worth posting lol
Scott
No roos, no harsh braking (there shocking dot forget!) few stalls at first, but then it's not a bran spanker Clio like her instructors..
Gotta be worth posting if the vid includes stalling lol
That is one cool first car!
Not so much an update, just a milestone! (more an odometer reading lol)
Clocked onto 48.000 miles the other night..
Scott
Can I be your other half lol
Don't know how I've missed this... Love the car and the originality!
I get the keys for my house next week, once I get the cars up to Cov and running, I'll have to pop over.
Sounds cool mate, I'm bit skint at the mo though, so not much spending going on etc..
I'll have 3 projects to sort, so if you ever get bored ;-)
So....
Exterior wise all i don't have to make this happen is, top tint screen/bumper over riders/light washers.
Interior wise i don't have, SR seats.
Very tempted..
As this.....
http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/1018/photo0329j.jpg
To this is very easy to achieve, and Ive always wanted one!
http://www.totalvauxhall.co.uk/files...1/Stock002.jpg
Grr i wish you sport sod were not driving the price of the old SR seat's into space, and making them near impossible to get hold of.
I'll be doing more to this over the few days, and add a few pics.
Scott
I know where there is a set of brand new overriders if your interested? Bout €30 iirc
Would look nice IMO
Ill deffo be sorting some new daytona check material out in the new year as well if there's enough interest
To be honest i think overrider's look rank! lol
And as for seats, I'm trying to buy some old worn GTE seats to get for re trimming mate, so just need them and some money! lol
Got bored, so been waxing the car....
And fitted the other WD on drivers side.

Right them windows don't say they have any bronze tint's on, but dam look at them, they look tinted some how compared to my standard track ones!
Scott
They look clear to me tbh, just beige/brown interior.

Came out alright for a quick 20min job!
I'll get it sorted in the new year.
Scott
Real shame about that. I was always under the impression primer would absorb water so the metal underneath would still rust. Ever thought about selling it?
Your right it does, but it's better then bare metal in my eyes! lol
I have mate, i had it for sale once, no one wanted it, i will be getting it repaired in the new year, then i will be making my mind up on what im doing with it, i will either keep it and SR rep it, or sell it.
Scott
Out of interest what price did you have it up at?
