Coming on well mate
whilst the engine is stripped, i suggest getting your self an air oil cooler to go with the water one aswell
helps stop the water temps going nuts on full boost lol
Baxter which cooler and take off woukd you recommend? When i looked at that Idea for mine I noticed you would need a special mounting bolt (the one that goes up the middle in to the block) if you intended to mount the oil to air cooler in the same place as the oil to water one.
nice project yourve got here, saw you at PVS doing a few runs up the strip then tried to find you to have a natter. i had a 1.7td corsa at the time and ive now got count vaux alot's old 1.7td corsavan.
nice figures you had off the dyno aswell
what i did was just use a sandwhich plate, M20 iirc, on the top of the water one, was a bitch to do, i used a 13row cooler, was sound, temp never went above 1/2 even with a 1min full throttle hammering lolQuote:

Just bought a load of white LEDs and wired them into the ilumination!
Another Update, quite a small one but large one in my eyes...
I have clean the block and head up, removed the diesel pump and painted every thing...
Overall very happy with results!
All primed up!

Cheers Mark, btw don't worry about the paint on the injectors or flange services etc as the injectors are being replaces with my old ones and the gasket faces will be all clean up!

good work mate :) i see you still sticking with the turbo manifold, n/a inlet ftw :)
Agreed dervy N/A inlet all the way - good progress though.
I like mine though :(
looks good together fella!! if i sort a meet in lincoln you coming??
Yeah I will come, have not been to a meet in over a year!
Dervy, do N/a inlets increse power at all.. is there any dyno certificates to prove it etc?
I would fit one if I thought it would make a difference!
yea man sweet well im organising something at the pride off lincoln maybe the 16th but not shure yet!!
Perfect mate, foods good there to..
i can`t prove that they are better power wise, but just looking at the two manifolds together the n/a must flow more because of the increased plenume size and the bigger intake pipe, and in my opinion it makes rooting the turbo pipes easier :)
Might get one then, just bought a corsa td rad which is 50mm less wide so I might be able to get the boost pipes down the side of the rad for a front mount, and my oil cooler :)
yea i got my boost pipes to fit, i had to move the rad over a a bit though
How comes youve left the safetyvalve/standard dupm valve in, you want that blanked off as it will be robbing you of boost higher up the psi!
Which oil cooler take off did you go for?
It's welded.Quote:
