No update or pics today as come to a bit of a hold. The reason being is that the engine and gear box are fitted with my new box (f20 instead of a f16) only to now find out the trust bearing is missing a bit anoyed to say the lease as i will now have to split the box and engine to get the clutch out as cant fit the clips to the clutch as i cant get it compressed to get them on.
I did get the rear pollycarb window in and one of the rear side ones in but once i had noticed the prob with the box i gave up and came home.
Happy days.
ps if any body has a spare thrust bearing could they please send it on for free if poss.
If i dont ask i wont get.
Cheers
Chris.
Oops, that'll learn ya wont it lol
Oh dear Chris not good news there, keep up the good work though. :)
ya thanks. As far as i knew it was left on there.
You fitted the box on to the engine without a thrust bearing?
Always annoying when you have to do things twice, but heyho it give you something to do ;)
I will have a gander in my garage tonight, I may have an old thust bearing knocking around.
cheer mate let me know.Give me a call if you find one as may not be on here later.
Yes bit of a fail moment. As fare as i knew it was on there as i wasnt told it had been removed.Quote:

What about finishing a headgasket job, whilst tidying up after realising the headgasket is under your pile of tools? lol (i did not do that, work mate did)

Happy days.
Once all this was back together and on the floor i got the s/s exhaust fitted from my old car.
The only prob i had was that that was a mrk1 and this is a mrk2.
It wasnt any real trouble it just ment i had to cut a bit out the bumper so it didnt melt it then just bodged up a heat sheild from some stuf i had up the lock up.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...jdlnova109.jpg
It aren't that good but is there to do a job not for looks.
I also filled it up with water and antifreeze and put the car back on all 4 wheels for the first time in over a week.
