Pilers??
Got the 2 bars as required. Because its made from material it was easier to force it to shape around the door and boot trim edges.
Just used good old Bostick glue and a ****e load of the office bulldog clip things.
 sorry i think i ment pillar's thats if that the right spelling lolQuote:

Roof lining is now 100% completed. Put the sun visors and interior light in. Just need to fix the rear view mirror.
Just need to finish the rear windows and it is then water tight!! Which is a good thing as it could do with abit of a clean TBH lol
My target of April 9th to be at Castle Coomb is 4 weeks away and i am not that confident in making it TBH. But i will try!
Will get some pics up soon.
Hope its at Combe, i'll have a lookie.
Looking really good mate!
Did a little yesterday. I need to glue the metal tabs onto the glass for my opening rear windows. Being the obsessive person i am, i couldnt just stick them on. So....i bought some glass glue and got some Araldite and carried out a little test with 2 bits of metal and a scrap piece of glass. I will check them today to see which has stuck better!!
Few pics of the bits done on the inside..

Needs tidying up in a few places, but considering that my mum (although she did my seats!) my dad or myself are not upholsterers...not a bad job IMO!!

My son, Noah, getting his first seat in the Nova!!
Will get the dash carcass in next week, then some number plates. My April 9th target date is fast approaching and TBH it will be a miracle if i make it!! Time will tell....
Ha ha bless him your nova is comeing on well , that headlining is spot on
Headlining looks nice, they are a night mare to do.
Minor/boring update...
Got a few little jobs done today.
Mostly dash install. Plus a few other little jobs.

This seemed alot harder than i remember lol Also doesnt help that it is a mass of wires back there. Still need to find a home for the ECU etc. Its just sat on the shelf at the mo.

Grrrr..still no side windows. Next weekend.
Nice to see your getting there mate, might make combe still??
Really coming together now chap! What wheels are you running? love em!
Not sure about Coomb TBH. You never know though...
Cheers. They are Smiths Rio IIRC. I do have some Porsche 928 slot alloys, but cant afford to get them sorted right now.
Potential FS thread coming soon!!! lol
I joke about it, but i have a list here!!!
In all seriousness, i just ran out of time. lol and money. Plain and simple. Got an 8 month old, which takes up alot of time and at easter i fitted a new kitchen (still got few finishing touches to do) which cost a fair bit.
I have just not worried about it TBH. Its nearly done, just the fiddly crap that is holding me up.
Might make Billing, but i am not setting any dates as that failed last time and caused me no end of grief!
Roll on 2012!!
Holy cow...dust off the cobwebs lol
Got a few bits done at the weekend.
Mainly dash related. Main dash is now back in, had to wire in my VX220 clocks correctly (again!) and also my speedo signal PCB.
Also cobbled up some brackets and a surround so it kind of looks the part.

With regards to getting this finished, well it wont be this side of crimbo! CBA to rush it. I intend to do it as and when.
Good going - getting there slowly! ;-)
I would paint the chequerplate matt black...
The first attempt (lol) i did paint it, but it looked odd against the binacle. Hmmm, will see. Its not hard to take apart and paint it.
Looks like your building it at my speed lol better to take your time and get right imo
Without sounding like a tard or offending you the dial surrounds look out of place imo, get a bit of carbon in there or black plastic ?
Apart from that small detail looks stunning
Opinions are more than welcome.
The more i look at the pics, the more i agree tbh lol. Hmm, matt black paint on the shopping list!
Satin black them dude.
Defo black or plastic/carbon fibre in there, dials look awesome though!!
So today i painted the dash surround black.

Fitted my steering wheel and boss too. Finishes it off a treat.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMGP4038.jpg
Fitted all my rear seats back in aswell. Also dug out my old parcel shelf. Stripped off the old grey carpet stuff and recovered in some left over material from my retrim.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMGP4037.jpg
Also fitted my mirror blanking plates. Im running Manta mirrors.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMGP4044.jpg
And finally got round to fitting my rear windows.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMGP4032.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMGP4033.jpg
Fitting the hinges and whatnot wasnt as hard as i thought!!
So there we have it. Numberplates on order from eBay, alloys going to my mates for paint soon as i get them off and some wheels back on.
Light at the end of the tunnel!!
looking good mate, love the interior :thumb:
All looks very nice
Makes me wish I had some opening rear quarter windows now lol
Excellent work there Pete, was a little gutted when you said you might throw the towel in on the project but looking really good now
top work there :)
Awesome, love the rear windows. Not a fan of the shelf tho.
Spot on mate, dials look loads better, nice seat's, them windows look good, but i would be worried about leaking etc.
Scott
lol it is knocked up!! DIY FTW/FTL.....i made this years ago. And my standard one got burnt along with my other parts, so its all i have right now.
6x9's will probably be on show. So it wont be a mass of flatness.
As i said a few posts ago...opinions are more than welcome.
Well well well......numberplates are awaiting fitment. Alloys are at my mates for painting. My other mate is going to pick it up and MOT it for me after christmas/when the wheels and tyres are done, then visit the DVLA for V5 change and tax...then insure and drive. Woot.
Happy days.
Get your mate to give you the receipt or headed paper to say he's checked the engine conversion/stamped numbers match etc NOW and send off for the V5 to be changed before you want it mate, trust me.
Local office is bristol. I'll get mot and letter and do the v5 and tax at the same time.
Thats what i was thinking, get it done as soon as cause youll have to wait while they piss about with it...
Less wait when you wanna drive it
Why Have I never seen this before. Top work fella. Dan
Picked the wheels up today. My mate will fit the tyres next weekend with any luck he will also MOT it once i have done a few checks.

Sane colour as the bumpers and skirts. Petrol cap is being done too.
They look nice
Thought you were fitting Porsche rims tho?
lol yeah I have got some, but haven't got the money for polishing, tyres and pcd adapters right now. Maybe in time for billing.
Oooo rims look great.
