Exactly what i was going to get at if it is confirmed to be a 30mph stretch. :thumb:

also there is a bend so may not of seen the speeding car approaching and if the car was doing the speed limit as said would possibly of had time.

I can see this one going against the Nova owner, or a 50/50 at best.

Even if you were doing 30mph, impartial witnesses would say you were going faster because it no doubt sounded as though you were.

Looks nasty, at least all got out OK though.

Good to see the sympathy lasted long.

If nobby was doing a indicated 40mph then it was most likly 35. The clio driver (presuming not a 17 year old just passed test etc) should know what 30mph looks like and maybe realised the fact they didnt have enough time to pull out.

TBH tho, most clio drivers are crap and crash.

In all fairness if you're driving a clio you are asking to be involved in a crash as even god frowns upon french cars. LOL

Just thought of something looking at the pics again, the car is pointing the way it came sort of, not coming around the bend, Lamp posts are on the left of the pics, hence the passenger side lamp post damage, and the fact theres no junction in the pic. Plus the face the SLOW on the road is as your coming into it, so i wouldnt mind betting the speed limit was 40, going into a 30.

Nobby to confirm ofc, but that does make sence.

gutted for you mate i had an accident a few years back in my fessie and it was my fault i lost no claims an everything but the main thing is myself and the guy i hit (in a clio) lol were ok

hope you can rebuild this into such a good car as it was
