Spent about 3 hours changing my bumper over... still got the rear one to do but heres some pics so far...

Yeah it was well hard getting the white one off... Its good job I got little hands! I painted the white thingy black too so it doesnt show through the grill anymore.
looks good... i reckon you should get a standard grille tho it will look more in place with that bumper... kinda like this... but with clear or standard indicators!!

I'm going to be annoying and say I don't like that; but then I never was a fan of Mk2 bumpers on Mk1s, as the headlights don't ever look right. I'd have just painted the GTE one dark.
bex you should of left it! as jack said, if any thing you should of painted the mk1 one a dark colour
Does look alot better but get some trim detailer on that bumper and bring it back to life.

2 bolts on either side inside the wheel archs, then the side brackets which are usaully broke anyway.

Its probably easier to take the bumper off the mounts, not the mounts off the car with the bumper still on it, if thats how you did it anyway:thumb:Quote:
