should fit in a nova boot fine mike there not that big lol
Didnt Pauls mate fit one into a mk2 astra and needed to cut all the chassis leg
thought it was a mk3 i may be wrong but yes i saw when the chassis leg was cut out
mk2, they go in mk3 easy iirc
We've been looking at 9000 2.0 & 2.3 Turbocharged motors, apparently they can run with an F20 & F28.
Yeah, not sure if a adapter plate is needed, but the V6 vectra's run a saab box.
Apparently they bolt straight on :confused:Quote:

mike, talk to me..... ;d

If it was a std engine the chassis leg shouldn't have been touched.
The Saab GM900 is a Mk3 Astra... With a few tweaks.
Which one??Quote:

they are all the same, its the map in the ecu thats different.
ignore the b204i, its n/a

Basically my mates blown his XE up in his Corsa GSi & found a pair of SAAB turbo motors in our local scrappy, a 2.0 & 2.3 an we're just a bit curious of the possible outcome if he got one of said engines like.Quote:

Theres a chap on mk3oc with a Saab Turbo, can't recall his user name but his actual name is nige...
Ok cool I assumed more physical difference, so the 204R would be our friend then? Any possible immobiliser problems we could possibly encounter when wiring it in??Quote:

Mike have a read of that astra thread, i doubt it would fit in a corsa without effort.
Already read it boss, was noseying at it whilst he was building it like.Quote:

Chip on vauxsport is putting a B204 in to replace his lunched let.... hes got a cracked ecu etc to play with. Might be worth having a peek at what hes doing (I know its in the back but most of the stuff should be applicable)
R has a different turbo to the E and L iirc.
They're also rare as the proverbial, pretty sure they only featured in cars for one or two years. I, E and L are way more common.
DI cassette FTL btw.
Hhhmmm, odd. Maybe the full pressure turbo lump is different where the water pump is, See Niges, which is low pressure turbo..Quote:

Kinda cool, but its like everything, its been done.
BANG FOR BUCK its ace though.
if you have t5suite, you can turn the immobilizer off. mike, if i was you, i'd buy a full donor. you ideally want a post 93 900, as the engines sump is shallower. there is 2 corsas that have the saab engine, one is a b, the other a c. the b had a decent beice of chassis leg trimmed. i did have pics but they have gone awol. it does bolt to a f20 IF you get a post 93 motor. id aim for a 94 or 95 model year, and buy the full car. makes life easy, and astra mk3 nerds will buy the hubs and shafts and arb and beam. if i was you, id look on uksaabs, and download t5suite. then all you do is make or buy a cable, and solder an 8 pin d/l connector to the ecu board. you power it up on the bench and t5 suite takes the eprom maps, and allows you to upload a map of your choice. for example, if you want stage 3, no matter what engine you start with, you need a 3 bar map, a freeflow 3 inch exhaust and a free flow air filter. this gives 330bhp, and is already included into the t5suite.
go fit a tank engine rather than a let then.....:roll:Quote:

There is one thing I'm 99% sure hasnt been done yet, and really should be done!
I can think of a few things that haven't been done yet either.
Me too :)Quote:

i've been wondering about fitting some other engine in mine..... like a k series..... v6.. all the fun of a gm one with loads less weight... and they are also fitted in kias.... so cheap too
evo engine and box in a nova......
mmmmmmm
