i want to make mine like that :)
That guy is Arne, a friend of Steve(Duick on here), he stopped at mine last year when he & Steve did the Nova parts run.
The engine spec is awesome, its a 1.6 destroked to 1300cc with a specially made crank & rods. It runs twin 45 DCOE's and puts out massive BHP figures(175BHP iirc) for a 1300.
It also runs a Quaiffe SCCR box, I think its a 6 speeder.
Sounds awesome in that clip.
Looks and sounds pretty mean, but doesnt sound even close to the limit, almost a relaxed drive! but that just may be his style.
the stage reminds me of this one http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp6FWDLYzhI
Very cool
That sounds sweet!!!
verrry nice, does anybody know anything about that car? what kit it has on and why the arches are so wide? what size do you lot reckon the wheels are?? or does anybody KNOW what the wheels are? cheers
i was gonna say it only sounds like a small engine
whats destroking an engine? the opposite of boring one out? i dont know much about engines but ive never heard of that before! car sounds awesome though
you reduce the stroke of the crank. normally used to achieve higher revs
aahh, den schiermeister corsa :D
the few pics i have of it

if you google schiermeister corsa, you'll find a site with a little spec list iirc
Further proof indeed, that mk1's rule.
totaly agree craig:D that is one truly awsome, sounding, looking nova:cool:
It reduces the throw of the piston & rod by using a different crank to make the CC smaller without altering the bore size. It makes for a faster revving engine as the piston has less distance to travel up & down. The crank and rod has less work to do.Quote:

The early 1.2ST engines actually have a larger bore than a 1300 but a shorter throw on the crank to reduce swept volume(iirc), thats why the early 1.2 is a nice revvy engine.
Wheels look similar to RH cups. I'd say the arches were fabricatedQuote:

It's cars like that make me REALLY want to Mk1 convert my MK2.
Looks shwarve.
Sounds nice - Not a fan of the looks or wheels and slicks.
If he watched a few BMi's he'd know to run narrow at the back and avoid this:-

i'd say rsl cult, by the looks of them on the 'lifting wheel' picQuote:

**** me that things great!
Still got the typical Rattle inside the car. True Mk1 lol
was looking for this thread
thought i'd update with a link to a gallery of his "team"

I saw that nova/ corsa when I went to Arne's earlier in the year to pick up the parts I ordered thru Duick/Steve.
Looked awesome !
He also has a lovely saloon. Il try and find some pics of it.
I just w@nked.
LMAO. I felt like that when I saw it, ALOT of work/time had gone into it.Quote:

he crashed it earlyer this year iirc.
it was running 1.2 brakes (Weight and who needs brakes when doing 'bergrennen') and he didnt slowed down enough for a corner, front end vs guard rail... guess who won..
As seen hereQuote:

**edit**
a ball joint snapped.
Two fails may even out though dude? It's not win, but it puts you back on neutral ground lol.
Cheers for the translati0nz. :)
Awesome car :thumb:
That crash in the link was in 2007. he then rebuilt it (custom made front)
I saw it in action in Eschdorf 2009. But 2 weeks after that, on a race in Germany, he crashed it again. :(:( And that crash was fatal, as the body was bent :(:(:(. So, Arne will not rebuilt the Corsa again...
Unreal sound :) i love it :thumb:
think arne has made is little nova a slightly bit quicker...
Linky
That isn't shy.
That was 2009 before the crash :(
The camera angle makes it looks like he drifts round left-handers and under-steer's on right :)
sounds great from inside
so is the guy building a new corsa/nova from whats left?
