polished bliss sponsor the audi-sport.net site and have a detailing section. i have found this quite helpful.
if you want to do a decent job you should get a foam lance. muts nuts in my oppinion. followed by the two bucket wash.
before i started washing my car properly i never new how much science/technique there was involved. its quite interesting actually and you can get hooked.
rough guide is : wash, clay, polish, glaze, seal.
this is then broken into many sub categorys. eg. degrese, scratch removal, swirl removal...... ect
should have a look at some of the write ups on audi-sport.net in the detailing section. quite amazing what can be acheived. eg. http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthr...ver-Classic-94
Trim tape always looks pro. lol
The grit guard things make me laugh. Some t0sser explaining what it does for over 10 minutes on Youtoob! lol
Snow foaming is pretty sweet too, but IMO the car's are there to be used. No need to go OTT like it's going into Jay Leno's private collection - for a one off Aston I can understand, especially if it belongs to the missus! lol
