Stoo's Megane R26 - The 'HO'
Hey up guys.
New car, New Project :)
Bought it last weekend.
Vowed im not going to go mad on this one, but you know what its like ;)
Anyhow, first up, BIIIIG Detail - By hand!
Took my time with it, over 2 and 1/2 days :)
I dont have all the all singing all dancing equipment yet, but i did the best i could with what i had.
First i gave it a good rinse with the hose to get rid of as much dust and dirt as i could.

Then i washed it using a lambswool mit, single bucket with grit guard.
Dried using a megs water magnet drying towel.
While i was at it, i de-badged the rear, because i was getting fed up of catching the lettering with cloths!!! Hot water and a credit card FTW!
The paint isnt toooo bad, few minor scratches here and there, minor swirling too. Hopefully i can get these out with a machine polish, when i get it!

After that, gave the whole car a good clay using Megs smooth surface kit.
Used the QD as lube.
Even on a black car i could see the tar all over it!
Just a quick pass on the bottom of the drivers door!!!

Then over the next hours, used Stage 1 & 2 of the Megs 3 Stage system.
Finished it up with the Megs Gold Class Wax - 3 Coats in total.
Used the Megs applicator pads and Megs MF cloths to finish.
Pretty impressed with the results, some nice reflections and alot less minor scratches and swirls :)

Gave the wheels a good clean with Megs Quick Detailer and an old MF.
I find it shifts the dirt really well and leaves a nice finish :)
Also used a bit of Megs Tyre Shine Gel - Not much, just enough. I dont like glossy looking tyres!!

Also clayed the glass work, and used Megs Glass Cleaner to make them gleam.
Gave the interior a reet good hoover and a wipe down with trim detailer.
And i attempted to attack the tailpipes with some AutoGlym Metal Polish.
