Classic policy with HIC

I have recently had the nova damaged by the council, its a non fault claim and the car is insured on a classic policy with Chaucer.

They have tried to place the car with two different repairers, the first (snobby) one in Knightsbridge London didn't make contact and when i ran them refused to take a car from S London. "Bugger off back to chaucer" he said. The second was a vauxhall dealer who said they don't repair classic cars (lol ) and more politely said "bugger of back to the insurers.

They are insuring cars on policies and don't have a bloody clue about getting them repaired to a good standard, all the repairers they use are everyday repairers. I just this minute put the car in the hands of an accident management company via the bodyshop that painted it originally. (didn't really want to use them) now the insurance has crapped its pants and wants to send an assessor before it goes anywhere.

Be aware that these so called special policies aren't that special.
