I'm hopin the car will be finished in sometime in November. Looks truely awsome. A lot different to what I had pictured.

Totally agree with you dan. I realy havnt got a clue about the colour. I get an idea then I change my mind.
Will you lot give me some ideas. I dont realy want a flip, its got to be bright, not blue or purple though and its got to go with a carbon fibre bonnet.

well sweet mate, why not do yellow or orange? they both go well with carbon bonnets and graphics. then tint the windows to match, us style :D

Sorry IMO i think it looks awful, but as i said thats only my opinon and i know your not bothered what i think, as nor do i mind if you like my car or not. As you say its for you and thats good.
Hope it turns out the way you hope and what about something like the red on the new type r civics for the colour.
Although if your doing that much bodywork so customised why not go and mix your own paint.

I had thought about an orange with some sort of pearl in it. If I do get graphics, they will have to suit it (the whole point of gettin em realy).
Good idea about the red, may be a bit dark though.

i have seen a lot of Novas with flips and i dont think it works, i am not personally trying to put you down all the time i guess im just a traditional kind of guy.
As your going for a carbon bonnet i would tend to keep it a straight colour, did you see the Yellow snake skin effect Honda civic on fast car cover last year. that yellow looked nice with the carbon bonnet.

I think I know the one (lexus s2000 lights). If so yea could be an idea.
I've got a motorbike rear number plate as the lettering is slightly smaller. It on the side off the (rear) bumper. The bumper was designed so it sat there. Looks a lot better than just stuck somewhere on the car.
Dont want the front one though.
Yea I will have a look at motorbike colours, I've seen a few that look cool.

fook me, that back bit is soo low its taken me five mins of lookin just to realise its actually got the wheels on! lookin well good mate!
smart - no other words for it.
Colours - go for something soft to excentuate the lines - flip wont work neither will pearl - panels too small.
Need a pastel cour - or an extreme colour. The yellow is pretty smart.
But then Ive got a thing about yellow at the mo.
Any ideas what your doing for the interior (that will dictate the exterior in most builds)

Its just got two buckets and a full cage at the mo. Big install will follow soon. I've just carried the carbon theme on a bit as well, steering wheel, gear knob, pedals etc.
I will change the interior to match the exterior.
get stick on number plates they lie flat and have u sin them light bolts ??? u use them instead massive numberplate lights

I want those bolts with the lights in em. The ones that lancy used on his, they look about an inch long.
Focus looks cool. That was one idea I had, like the idea of different coloured weave in the carbn.

i would say be different - go for smack you in the face bad ass lime green.
not too many about in that colour - fair enough that is because it is a horrible colour but would make yours stand out - even from a distance...

Stick the front plate in the window, and just say it fell off if you get pulled over. If you get a lot of grief from the pigs, then fit it on properly then. However, with the way it looks, they probably won't even realise.
And do what i wanted to do, get a carbon-fibre skin for the roof. It'll look fuckin cool (but with a coloured weave, perhaps). (though the us civics that have carbon fibre bonnets and front wings - how shit are they? the wings, anyway).
Mock up some images in photoshop with different colours to get a better idea of what you'd like. Personally, i don't think it'll matter as long as it's bright.
And having a graduated tint, like Max Powers Astra, is something that you should definitely consider. Though in a different combination. The lighter shade at the front will look great with the carbon fibre bonnet, while the darker shade towards the back will eccentuate the rear of the car too, but without taking away from the effect of the front (or the rest of the car).
There's loads of colours to choose from from Blue to green, red to pink to orange to yellow and etc.

i like that lime green colour on that honda in the new edition of rev's !! not sure if it would suit a nova tho, could try mocking a load of colours up in paintshop pro and seeing how they look ???
fair play m8. its totally original and lookin sweet. as for the colour make sure ya take yer time and pick the colour ya really want. when i built my car a few months back it got a full bare shell respray in the blue thats on it and i don't really like it after all! i have another colour in mind and as soon as i get a chance ill paint it again :roll:

Not a fan of extream novas.. as i think to be honest they look tacky, and things never seem to fit properly, with huge gaps everywhere etc.. however i wont form an opinion of ur car till i see the finished article!

One thing I'm not goin to do is rush the decision. But I know I will most probably change my mind even after its sprayed.
I do like to orange idea with an orange weave in the bonnet as well, not sure how its done though.
But I all like the idea of it been two toned like max powers astra.
God dam it, will I ever decide.

Best thing to do is get a swatch of all the favourite solours you like, line them up and be bruital. picture yer car - whats the 1st colour you see. Once you have the idea, bin the rest and leave it - the more you change yer mind the more it will do yer head in. Like you say you'll prob end up changing yer mind anyway.

Get some graphic sexual images airbrushed onto the bonnet with "Dan's slut mobile" and "models wanted - i'll make you famous" on the sides. Have a camera fitted in the back and a film projector sticking out the bonnet. Then you can film porn in the back, with naked sluts tied to the rollcage, and project it on walls at cruises. Nice and sensible.

On the inside will be lots of pink furry hancuffs so I can tie up as many dirty little school girls as possible and then have the worlds first gang bang in a nova.

LOL this is quite sad but here goes....
I am a MK1 & 2 escort freak, its the only fords i like and thats mainly due to the rally heritage. Anyway i have got a couple of psoters on my wall from years ago of a white MK1 (valued at over ?30k) and the Revs first project car that they gave away to a reader that was a Orange MK2 escort, now that orange is a wicked colour i think the car was in about 6 of the first 10 revs magazines produced, if you cant find one i will try to get some pics up loaded. This on its own or mixed with the civics yellow (mentioned before) would be the muts nuts :!:

I love em and am planning on starting to sort one out when my nova is done, but i am a bit of a fussy bugger and only really want to start with a mk1 RS2000. Due to these being as rear as rocking horse sh*t i am struggling to find one, im not worried about condition as would be bare metal restored.

How big's that exhaust? I don't normally like Abyss rear bumpers, but with the exhaust where it is, it really levels it out and looks great.
You know what? I wish i haven't put a rear spoiler on mine. But i have. A big-fuck-off one. And it looks like a shopping trolley now (square car, with large handle-type thing on the back).
Noticed that you're building a new dash out of mdf/fibre-glass or whatever. That's great that! More people should do stuff like that.

I normally arent that keen on the rear bumper due to it narrowing tyo much under neath, but with your exhaust its a vast improvement, i like the colour too although neither of dans or gaz's are anything like the orange i was talking about earlier in the post
