You know what really ginds my gears!!!

Ok i had today off college because i have basicly finished but have to go in tomorrow.

So last night i decided i would get up for 9 go to the bank to put a cheque in because my cheques take 7 days to clear! FFS!

Then i would start tidying up my engine bay and polishing up the paint and cleaning cr4p off things and make a day of it well we have sun.

So i set my alarm to get up and what did i do...

Slept through the f(_)cker!

So basicly i have wasted a whole day and i'm really pissed off because when it is nice like it has been and still is i don't want to miss it aswell.

Rant over!

You fail at waking up.

Yeah it's really not helpfull when i work long hours, hand in my times, wait a day or 2 to get the cheque then it takes 7 days to clear.

So this means that i aint going to have any money till a week on wednesday.

I do fail at waking up, i'm just a really deep sleeper lol.

lol typical er teenager, i keep thinking i'll get up 5mins earlier for work and end up waking up 10mins later.

And Nationwide take a whole 5 1/2 days for me :(

Yeah well out of the banks i'm with, my money goes in a halifax account as it's the 1 i have had the longest.

I got told halifax isn't a building society anymore, don't know how true this is.

But even so my cheques shouldn't take 7 days should they?

You must be a deep sleeper like me. I struggle to wake up 365 days a year. My Bed is so nice!

If you are gutted about the waste of time, what are you doing on the net?

NovaLad
17-06-08, 04:16 PM
Because by the time i got up if i had started working on the car i wouldn't finish off the job.

I like a full day to do a job and know i will do it.

Hate coming in after working on the car knowing i have another half of the same job to do.

3. I have in the past 2 months and over been handing in job apps but not been accepted for any.
4. I handed in a job app yesterday and still waiting on a reply.

Actually i work hard doing alot of lifting and have to wear a hardhat and boots.

The weekend most people was at PV i did a 17 hour shift 1 day then a 10 hour shift the next.

So how about you SHUT THE F(_)CK UP and get off here yourself instead of telling a 18year old what to do on a public forum you half wit.

I work 70-80 hours a week & also do heavy manual work, as well as running a team of 25 blokes, office work & machinery operating, followed by helping look after my family, I get up every morning at 6.00. I used to drive lorrys & got up on monday morning @ 3.30 & didn't get home till saturday lunchtime.
my IQ is 160, I am nearly 40 & I am old enough to know that:
1. there is always a better job
2. sometimes being poor but healthy is a good option
3. burning the candle at both ends always ends up in an accident
4. living with the parents is the cheapest time of your life ever.
5. struggling now, but getting a really good qualification & a decent career is by far the best way to do it.

And your sense of humour is different to mine

Lynsey

Have to agree with Mowgli.
I work my fecking **** off all week and have absolutely no sympathy for anyone who say they can't get a job. I'd sooner be scrubbing toilets than not working at all.
Knock that chip off your shoulder ffs, no one is having a go- it was just a bit of banter.

I have done the whole machinery operating when i did engineering for 2 years.

All true.

That's why i am trying hard to get a job during the hols before september when i mite be starting Uni.

When i was at college for the past 2 years i was doing it full time then going doing casual working that same night till the day after then going col the next day with no sleep.

I am what you call a ''Technician'' I work with audio, video, lighting. We set up huge stages with a full P.A. for such venues as football stadiums, Malls, Concerts.

I lift Lots of staging, Lighting, Audio and video equipment.

I have had to sacrifice family events to work such as birthdays, christenings and even on my own 18th birthday i was up at 6am setting up something.

I am working this weekend and have to be at the job for 5:30am.

I don't know my I.Q.

I think for an 18year old i try very hard so if i wish to post on a public forum i will do so.

You are a totally different generation to me.
My dad is alot older than you so i respect you won't have the same sence of humour but you should still bare with me.

First it's MIGHT not mite (dust mite)

You can have permenant part time jobs. I know as I had one when I was at Sixth Form (worked weekends like loads of other people). Some worked in a pub as evening work didn't clash with school time.

Telling a place you might be off to University in September and then wondering why you're not getting a job. EPIC EPIC FAIL

Quit whining, if you dont like your job, get a different one. There are always jobs. my holiday/temp jobs include working as a sales assistant at radio shack, fixing pc's, fitting strain gauges to A380, fitting strain gauges to a nimrod, assembling sensors, some basic machine work, operating a laser marker (those machines are cool as f**k), warehouse labour, shelf stacker at sainsburys and some ****ty production line stuff. There are always jobs, but the trick is to keep working, i found it the hardest to get a job when I didnt already have one.

I still can't believe that someone says they work casual, i respond do you wear pastel shades & slacks, being a form of casual attire?

Casual work usually means no tax, ie cash in hand.
Not being able to ask for important time off is tantamount to slave or bonded labour, a practice banned about 100 years ago.
If you enjoy the job, & want to go to college (uni) then try & bash out some form of holiday work with them, if they actually like you as a worker, they might just do it, or they might just take the piss out of you.

ps the machinery I operate is huge, yellow & made by jcb
