1600 engines as fitted to Novas and Corsas

How many were there and what were the BHP and torque figures please?

I thought there were three (E16, C16 and X16)?

E16SE- fitted to the nova GTE - 98BHP and 99LBF.FT
C16SE- fitted to the nova GSI - 98BHP and 99LBF.FT
C16XE- fitted to the corsa GSI - 107BHP and 110LBF.FT
X16XE- fitted to the corsa sport - 104BHP and 107LBF.FT

E16SE (8v), C16SE (8v late GSi & Astra Mpi), C16XE (16v early Corsa), X16XE (Tigra & Corsa sport), X16XEL (reduced output Astra engine). There are more new ones Z16XE etc.

Power ratings are 100bhp/lb/ft for the SE 8v engines.

109bhp for the C16XE. IIRC the X16XE had 104 or close to that.
