can you lift a fully built C20XE from the bottom up into the engine bay?

i.e with gearbox, inlet and exhaust manifold and engine mounts?

thanks

providing there are no suspension or tie bars in the way, yes you should be able to.

yes, Can even fit a LET + F28 in one piece in that way, thats the most common way of doing it.

Yes, it will go in with the manifold on, no rad + fan in after.

Rad etc after sounds a better idea so there is more room and less chance of it being damaged!

EDIT - Paul beat me lol

can even drop it in from the top

Aye it'll go in from the bottom no bother, i'd probly leave the manifold off tho, gives you a bit more room when fitting it.
I'd usually leave the 2 front mounts off as well, then fit them once you've got the engine hoisted into place ... again gives you a bit more room and less chance off scratching the engine bay.

I would do it without the exhaust manifold on, everything else will be fine. Then fit the rad/fan then the manifold.
