Im going to be painting my roof (and a few other bits) nato green when my paint arrives
Now i had a look at my roof today to see what was what, and on the very top of the roof is like an outline making a slightly smaller area of roof, if you get what i mean???? :tard: lol i dont know the technicllities of it :wtf:
Now, should i paint just upto that outline? or should i do the full roof and try and make a good deviding line of nato green/matt black at each corner of the roof, like where the A pillar is? I like both, hence my dilema :(
So im leaving it for my PNG breaders to decide :cool:

Walsh, i like the first one with just the square. Hoe about doing iside the swage lines too? Ie from the line just above the door handle, down to the rub strips and over the arches all the way down.

Ahh i can see it now, that's actually quite good (apart from the paint)

The car looks sooooo good in black, I think it would be a real shame to put any green on it at all myself as it will just look scruffy.
I can see why people want to make their cars look different and be individual, but there is a reason why people don't paint their cars black and green, it dont look good. An all black Nova Saloon is unqiue anyway, please keep it as it is!

My car isnt particulary ratty and f*ck will i ever purposly make/like an artificial rat look car, theyre just sh*t. True rat look i do like though :cool:

Yeah and get some camo netting to cover the seats, then have a fake gun as a handbrake lever lol and a sleave of bullets spread on the dash lol :cool:
There was a mk4 golf with all that at a show a couple years ago, i`ll try find some pics, handbrake looked pimp :cool:

i'm doing my nova in Blackboard paint, was going all black but mite do it with a green bonnet,roof and boot now.. black and green ftw!

Ive never seen green chalkboard paint, might be a bit hard to get. Although, im sure you could still chalk normal matt nato ????
Where are you getting your paint from? mine STILL hasnt arrived, been over 5 weeks now grrrrr
yeah you can, seen it on a mk1 astra at trax last year, and my local paint suppliers they mix it there and then 4 ya ;)
just need to work out how much i need for a decent coverage on a hatch back just the out side
Well i used just over 9 tins i think, 400ml tins

thw 1st option looks good. TBH do the 1st option and it it looks pants extend it to cover the second.
The only issue's gonna be where the paint line goes acorss the pillars - might be a little odd looking - but then a satin black nova with a matt green roof?!? who gives a t0ss about odd...
should look cool. Just hope you aint got any t0sspots near you who decide to use the top of your car as a driving range.

No, you see im not really asking anything, i like both ideas and would happily do both. But with cars only having one roof i cant :(
So the poll is just a decision maker (one that hasnt decided yet with both options having 4 each lol ), i should of just flipped a damn coin lol lol lol
The idea came from my head
Youre confusing matt colours with rat look, yes a few rat look cars just happen to have a matt finish, but not all matt black/green/red etc cars are rats, its just a finish, like gloss, pearl, satin etc
Just so you know, rat look didnt actually start with vw`s :thumb: it came from the american hot rod scene in the 50`s. Where you had all the rich, mummy and daddy boys racing their cars whilst still looking brand new with frequent resprays, the poorer - more "hands on" guys couldnt afford to keep the body looking good aswell as spending money fixing their engines, chassis etc so they left the bodies to rot basically - making "rat rods" which then went over to the aircooled vw boys n girls, but they took out the rod part.
If you have to ask why i`d want to do this, then you just dont get it and will probs never understand ;)
I think the question you should be asking, is one to yourself - "why am i into modifying/customising cars?" (if you actually are that is???? :) )
