Since the turbo started smoking more after returning from PV, i rang turbo technics, they are having probs getting all the rebuild parts for it. they can do bearings and seals but not an entire rebuild. i'm tryng to deicide what direction to go in. either chuck 2nd hand turbo on and use it for trax? lor just take it off the road now and do a rebuild on the engine and turbo. i only threw the engine in as i was on a deadline to move the car, so a rebuild sounds like a good plan. I don't see the point in rebuilding it to standard spec either.

i'm going to look at a rover 214 today a guy from work is selling. At least it'll save me driving my wifes mk1 golf cab.

central heating boiler blew up when we got back from pv as well. skint for months i suspect

check the pics of my badboy, cost me £100. 70K miles, its driven half a mile in the last 12 months. Maybe track it at trax for a laugh.lol

I would of personally stuck a working 2nd hand turbo on the nova and got the most out of it over summer. ;)

i wouldn't mind doing that but i never finished building the car to the standard i wanted and PV just made me feel more depressed about it.

other problems include, snapped sump bolt, snapped cambelt cover bolt, stripped thread on alternator mount. it leaks like a prostitute. tappy top end.

If i can find a cheap enough turbo i might do that for TRAX:thumb:
