Is there different types of rear silencer for a GSi?

Mine has been replaced at some point with a new genuine GM one, but whatever way it is made I can't get it to sit right, it hangs too low, and too near the middle of the car.

I was wondering if maybe the GSi's with a cat had a different fitment to the pre cats, and the wrong one has been put on mine?

Cheers

There is no difference in gsi or sri backboxes regardless of CAT.

There are 2 types of rubber, one is a inch or so smaller so that could sort your height issue out. As for the centering its just a matter of rotating it where it clamps in to the pipe that goes over the beam until its at the right angle. It could be that the mounting 'pole' has been bent.

I can get it at the right position/height, but then the actual exhaust is sitting at an angle which looks stupid.:(
