Cheap Amp

I seen a Boschman Amp (600w) 4 ?93. It can run In Tri-mode. Do u think it will be any good , or will it sound utter crap? And how do u find the RMS of yer speakers and amps. I got Kenwood 6x9, and it just says 170w. Is that each speaker?, or is that 4 both? Please help!

Boshman amps are a good buy, or so my mate sez (he even has Alpine V12s and he still recommends them) especially on the cheap. Your 6x9s are 170w PEAK, in other words, only at one specific point in their whole entire existance will work at such a level. To find the RMS (Root Mean Square) of a speaker or amp (although more higher spec amps will have digital power sourcing so this method won't work) it is 0.7 or there abouts of the Peak power so in the case of your amp 0.7 of 600 = 420w RMS and your speakers 0.7 of 170 = 119w RMS (i would run your amp less than 1/6 of max. as running at max power for the speakers is very risky)

I got a dragster amp for ?79 from halfords with a set of 300w infinity 6x9 -

Sound mint but too powerful form my (current but to be changed) factory fronts. Need to shift the fade 6 clicks to the front to balance the sound out!

You can feel the bass through the seat!

I've got that Boschmann 600 watt amp running my 12 inch sub at the mo and I don't know a lot about ICE but I think its well worth the money for the difference in sound. You get a lot of kit for what you're paying, I managed to get it knocked down at the market. I have the option to get it powering my 6x9s too.

I got mine from a big local market, there's a geezer who sells ICE. However I have seen it for sale through some mail order companies who advertise in the magazines like max pooer, have a search on the net for their sites.

Its available for around ?115! Its 760watts x 1 channel or 250watts X 2!
I got it running bridged at 530watts rms to a 500 watt sub (Pioneer TSW 1201C) and Fcuk me!
All cost a little over ?200 and I honestly can say it is fcukin loud! The amp hasnt got many features! But I got a pioneer HU so the features are all packed in there!
