Hi, my name is Chris and I have been on this site for a short time but have never put up any pictures of my car that i am building. So here we go:
Spec:
All round GAZ coilovers
Been stitch welded all over to group A spec and harry hockley strengthening kit by chris astley motorsport
6 point Safety Devices rollcage
Internal shifter
Sparco bucket seat
1.6 8v engine on carbs built by tommy field at FMS
Astra gte brakes up front
I have built the car with racing in mind, so track days and sprints and hill climbing. I also want to get a MSA logbook for it.
Hope you like it, Chris

Did you have to mod the car in any way so that the rear coilovers don't catch? or did they just fit straight on? Looks a good project. Keep up the good work.

Ditto. Lovely looking shell.
Nice engine choice too. Look forward to seeing it finished & beating the time set by the Fiesta on that hillclimb.
Cool, similar spec to mine.
Do you do alot of hill climbs? I've been to Wiscombe and Gurston recently and will hopefully be compleating next year.

What colour the wheels gonna be then white ?
chrisritchie
04-07-08, 10:12 PM
One set is white and one set is day-glo orange.
Looking good mate, very tidy build.
Can I ask, at Gurston about half way round the first corner, is there a dip on the inside or something? All the cars I watched the other day seemed to twitch quite a bit...
When do you recon it's first outting with be?
Wheel studs are a must IMO, makes life sooo much easier. Good call :D

ASH- You go down the hill then there's a long sweeping left, then a short sprint, then a sharp right which goes into a short dip with a right following. So yeah, in the middle of the second and third corner there is a dip.
