there was a similar post to this on the styling forum - if I remember correctly, you dont need a reverse light (although its sensible to have one) but you do need a fog lamp (ok for u if u get 2!)

Just need a euro cluster for the opposite side.

U could always mount a reverse light in yer bumpr - or get twin reverse lamps and mount a fog lamp in the bumper like the pew pug's.

Great mod guide on top-buzz for this!

hi m8

i have got a twin fog conversion IMO it looks feckin gorgeous, my nova is red and it looks like a pair of red rear clusters!!! i have tinteted the indicators VERY slightly to give them a bit of a red tint in daylight as aposed to amber (they still flash amber)

its passed its test since the mod.

basically law states if you have a light, it has to work, so it will fail on a blown bulb, but by law you dont require a reverse light, so if it aint there - they wont test it.

you DO require a fog liht however.

(just in case anyone is interested)

doubt it but hey!

first external mods were the rear end & bootlid.......

* Nova GTE wrap round spoiler with ASTRA GTE Mk2 Spoiler on top.
* WITHOUT cutting the centre legs off, mounts a custom brakelight with additional indicators too :D
* De-badged
* de-locked
* electronic boot pop from my cobra alarm fob
* TOYOTA yaris rear wiper.
* Twin foglight conversion / red rear cluster effect

another easy way round it is to keep your cluster with the reverse on it and swap it before the MOT is due :!:
